I barely know how to tie a boat to a dock. They’d find me floating. The whole idea of crossing the ocean in a 35 foot sailboat sounds amazing. I wouldn’t mind living on one. I actually thought about it. The learning curve to take on such an adventure is something that’s a little outside of what I have time left to do. Much respect for the cool choices you’ve made with your life.

I've spent my whole life around boats and I have spent 3/4th's of the last 10-15years at sea living on a boat. Trust me when I say this...bigger is better.

BUT if you have the right temperament you will love it!!! 

Van life will likely transition easily to boat life!

Grew up sailing a boat that size in the Great Lakes. Living in one sounds terrible especially in salt water as salt water adds another horrible amount of maintenance on top what you already need to do in fresh water. The actual sailing part on a boat that big is stupid easy on a sail boat built in the last 40 years if you know how to navigate with out gps. I would also not want to cross the ocean in a 35 foot boat. It’s not enough boat. It’s about bare minimum to handle what the Great Lakes can throw at it

About 40 mins south actually.  Was just talking to the designer from there who did a fair bit of refreshing of my place on Thurs and she said that Parrish is pretty safe.
