according to their FB page the lone Cat left in the Pro Class will be going to Canterbury.   idk how much snow they have or will be able to make for Canterbury but can only be hopeful at this point.

XC ditch racing this winter looks unlikely at the moment.  idk what they're doing for eagle river but @Not greg b said they were working on the GD Soo track.

I doubt it.  They normally don't start until around new years.  They used to bring in snow from the parking lot but not sure if they still do that.

Not good when the Pro class is down to 14 riders after the first weekend.  I have a feeling we will see Ishoel and Harr battle it out for 1st all season and Lebel and Yurk fighting for the last podium spot.

Good news to share, THE SNOW GUNS AT CANTERBURY ARE ON!  Went by last night coming home from a New Years party and they had them running.  They should be able to make all the snow they need this year.

I'd agree with that.   Going back to some commentary from a recent Carbide podcast.... they need to find a way to move some of these Pro-Lite boys capable of being competitive in Pro up.

It seems like there just isn't the sponsorship to run many of these pro teams unless they are at the top.  Benham is a top 10 pro rider and he's on the sidelines with no ride this year. 

With Cat out of the picture, the other two manufacturers aren't going to magically increase their budgets overnight.
