It's never easy.

It's the worst.....lost a few German Shepherds......having one put down for health issues was as bad as a family funeral.

Been there, not easy to do when they’re a part of your family.

Very sorry, been through it many times and it always sucks.

Dread that day.  Mine turned 3 years old today.  Hoping it's a decade or more before I have to face this...  Very sorry John.

 

Just last week we had to put down a beloved black lab of 13 years. My wife gets teary eyed on a daily basis.

sorry buddy!!!!!  They never stay around long enough.

Been there and know the feeling it's hard.

Damn it sucks.  Sorry to read this.  
A couple of cars and a tractor trailer nearly took care of one of ours yesterday again.  Wife had her head up her ass trying to do 3 things at once and took her eyes and mind off of it for 5 minutes.  Damn neighbors free roaming Ginny hens across the street was just too much attention for the little beotch to ignore.

Sorry to hear John. Pets, especially dogs, just have a way to attach themselves like a child to us. They depend on us but I don't know if they realize how much that we rely on them for making our lives fuller. It's kind of funny how we get all tough on the keyboard but melt when it comes to our pets.

lost my last 3 goldens to cancer. i have all the collars hanging on a hook in my den. at times i grab all 3 and smell them. makes a mess out of me without fail. now you know how actors can cry at will. just think about lost pets, and open the faucet. sorry John , you will never replace Izzy , nor will you try to. give it some time and maybe get another. the house is gonna be too quiet . i swore last time no more, but coming home to an empty house lasted only a few months. i get home first , and instead of the usual , just quiet. i couldn't handle it any more. now he is 6 and i know i'll have to go through it again. not looking forward to it , i can ball just thinking about losing this guy. honestly some of the worst days of my life losing pets. hang in there John , we'll all be together again
