In 2020, Trump lost Nicollet, Blue Earth, and Winona counties.  Plus he lost counties like Washington and Dakota by a wider margin.  Look at Olmsted (Rochester) too, Trump lost by 0.7% to Hillary but around 11% to Biden.

Trump can gain 5,000 votes in each of those little red counties but he has to make up over 300,000 votes from Hennepin County alone.  The math just doesn't work without winning the suburbs (Scott, Dakota, and Washington) and closing the gap in Hennepin and Ramsey.

My bad, I thought I grabbed '20. Looks like clay county (Fargo) went blue in 20 as well.

The one I don't understand is why the Arrowhead/Range is so solidly blue, but I suppose between Little San Fran and the unions, they have it locked for decades yet, even though many policies the D's push go against the range.

Has been that way for years and I'm guessing there has been an influx of transplants that has kept it that way.

Duluth, Grand Marais, and the reservation.  I wouldnt be surprised if Lake County flips though.
