The all time high set in Alaska is actually 100 in 1915 not exactly whats posted in that pic, but very, very close.

Also take a look at when the record low was set...  In the 70's, so as I've said a ton of times, of course modern temps will look high if you compare them to a decade that was far colder than normal with record lows set in most every state being set during the 70's
