@ZR6000RR jimwit was on AI claiming there wasn't any fraud or wrong doing....

They better honor it because the dealer I'm having them redirect to was given first dibs on selling me one (It's my closest dealer) and the sales guy never got back to me. I even have the messaging for proof.

That's the main reason I went with Nelsons, the sales guy actually got back to me quickly with a fair price.

I have herd, They were selling every used pos shit they had laying around to a line of credit to pull the cash out. When they defaulted on the loan the bank realized they were took and are on the hook for a bunch of over valued trash. That’s when they were forcefully shut down by the “feds” while everything got inventoried. When they re opened “business as usual” was to get the service work off the property and back to the owners. After that is done liquidation auctions are supposed to happen. They have 500 boats and redicouls amount of carry over sleds they can’t pay for. They were selling about 350 boats into the market a year.

They would be ignorant not to. All they have to do is push some paper. Then they will get your accessory business without doing anything. Because no one buys a new sled with out buying something else when picking it up.

It'd be a tough business to make a living at.  You'd need to diversify quite a bit to get you through the down times.  Start parting sleds and building a used parts inventory etc and building customer base that way and every other way, it'd be tough.  All these assholes bitch about stealerships I don't know how they think you pay X amount of people a quality income that's required for quality help while they bypass their local dealer to buy from the cheapest mail order and save $3.  Then bitch when dealers close even though they never went to them anyway.

Lakeside has been around a long time and it’s sad to them go out this way. When the textron dealership shut down my family was involved with was actually sold off as turn key dealer and the new owners ran it out of business fast. textron took it over and really fucked over everything. I wish the original owner of it was still alive. Great man and passed suddenly a couple years ago and was way too young.

According to Hueberts in TRF, the took on Dakota Cats 25 sled orders. The owner pocketed $2,500 from the 858 orders, then shut the doors. No one seems to be able to get ahold of him. Some dealers, of all brands are scum of the earth. He will show up somewhere. He will get what is deserved.

I had a customer kinda do that to me. I was lucky to get my stuff back. He screwed over a lot of owners putting their semis and farm equipment on a bank loan that were paid with cash. He was also switching vin numbers. Not sure how that turned out but locals told me he claimed brain cancer and didn’t know what he was doing, but was out and about driving a brand new raptor pick up and was just fine.

I know I've been called an anti-Cat guy, but man ... I hope they get things sorted out.  Especially with this new 858 and the new chassis finally coming to fruition.  No way do I want to see options limited to just BRP and Polaris.
