They vehemently denied any fraud or investigations on their facebook page. If we take this as truth, given the incredible inventory of leftover units and a brand new show room for their boat lines I'm going to guess it's a cashflow/profit issue.

I reached out to Cat and they are looking into it as well.

Is there a machine that picks sweet corn? Really comes to light as a dumb question when I type it out I’ve only been around dairy farms so everything out here is either chopped or combined high moisture stuff. Been helping the one up the street driving dump truck for them when I’m done with work for the day. Looks like you guys might have a little nicer trucks too 😂

Driving past a farm operation and taking a pic does not make one a farmer. Hell, I have been hauling beets for 20 years. I am no farmer, but it qualifies me to be more than you will ever be.

The equipment comes from Oxbo out of WI (formerly Pix-all) and NY (formerly Byron).

It is pretty much a modernized Uni-Harvester.  The heads have gathering belts instead of gathering chains and the conveyors on the harvester are belts instead of drag chains.  Almost no stalk goes in.  The stalk rollers will pull the stalk down, snap the ear off on the stripper plates, and in she goes.  Goes into a dump cart and into the semi.

The pea combines are pretty neat too.  They run a stripper head to bring in the least amount of viney material and pretty much beat the peas out of the pods.

This stuff goes to bulk freezing, some may go to a canning plant depending on yields.

It'll either be bulk frozen off the cob or bulk frozen on a cut/trimmed cob, so damage from the head doesn't matter.  Hell, we can run skunks through the pickers and you'd never know.

There is a head you can buy that is much gentler on the cob for fresh market stuff.  I've seen 1 4 row head before.  

The cut/trimmed cob will go to food service companies for restaurants and the like.

The off the cob will go to pretty much everything other then canning.  Bagged frozen, freeze dried, further processing (think soups), food service, etc.

The rest of the time parts boy krom is selling grill baskets for pontoon boats that are owned by people that’ll never ask him to come to he lake. No wonder he so angry all the time. 

Winch on the Prowler decided to shit the bed.  

Once I fingered out how the assembly came off there, it wasn't too bad, except having to buy a new winch.

Thomas has a nice used Prowler 500 that'd id love to buy.  I think the 500 is a fair bit smaller which would be nice for many of my trails and for parking in garage.  It's just been a very expensive year for me.  Maybe next year I can get one.

We had a 500 before the Pro we have now.  It is a nice machine for what it is.  The turning radius wasn't the greatest on it, I think 40-45 was the top speed.  

The only real complaint was if you parked it on a incline, it was damn hard to get it out of park.

If the price would be right, I wouldn't be afraid of one.

That's good to hear, I've heard good things about the pro but don't hear much about the 500.  I don't care about top speed, on my ATV I spend more time in low range than high range and really never go over 20mph.  Pure utility use work machines for me.

Cat doesn’t sell shit for sleds. Snowchecking 3 or 4 sleds and that placing you in the top 5 isn’t anything a Polaris or Doo dealer would be bragging about.
