Large threads tend to slow the site down so I locked the old thread and started this new one.

I think Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy are on the menu for tonight.

Cheesy brats on the grill, potato salad, apple pie from local bakery

We did ramen nite at our house after a trip to a couple different Asian markets this morning.

Things were going well until the spicy one was passed around, then the virtual 100% Scandinavian side came out for everyone.

I still powered thru it though.

Asian markets are fun. Some are way better. United Noodles in the cities has some really great meat options

Graduation party season has begun! Walking tacos last night and pulled pork sandwiches tonight.

When we go to one, we all pick out a few kinds of instant ramen to try.

Ha. Just had herbed ones tonight, but some places have no idea what herbs to use. Goal with a marinade is balance. Salt, acid, fat, umani, and sweetness. As long as you balance those anything can work. Pretty easy to use your favorite BBQ sauce for the sweetness part....

It good on grilled potato slices too. That used to be my go to dressing for salads. I still like it, but I keep tasting it for hours. Now I just use it for marinade.

I used a couple different flavors of this brand of marinade on chicken, pork, fish & shrimp.
