Saw on the news how this type 2 diabetes drug has now being used as a weight loss drug in the US . What's strange is Dr.s in Nova Scotia prescribe it and pharmacies in BC fill them and ship it south. So much so that BC is low on supply for Canadian people with diabetes.

The USA is low on it also, we have a lot of fat people who want to lose weight without out working out or changing their eating habits.

I kept seeing these dumb commercials about it but it would never say what it was for , just says ask your doctor about it. Stupid.

Common Side Effects of Ozempic

“Overall, Ozempic is a very safe medication,” explains Dr. McGowan. “The most common side effects are gastrointestinal in nature: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation.” While the majority of people who take Ozempic will most likely experience these symptoms at some point during their treatment, they should subside over time, continues Dr. McGowan.

“Since Ozempic slows down gastric emptying, there may be a feeling of early satiety [fullness],” adds Dr. Alexander, who recommends individuals eat slowly to help improve these and other gastrointestinal side effects of Ozempic. “These side effects are usually short-term and improve a few days to a few weeks after starting Ozempic or changing the dose,” she adds.

Taking Ozempic may cause other less common, but more serious, side effects, according to the company. These include:

  • Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
  • Vision changes
  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
  • Kidney problems
  • Allergic reactions
  • Gallbladder problems
  • Thyroid tumors or cancer

Best energy boost and appetite suppression tool to ever come about was made illegal by our federal govt because some fat football players were dying during use.
