Refineries planning for longer downtimes will hit your wallet at the pump this year

Buckle up.  She is going to be a rough one.

Additionally, refiners plan longer maintenance periods early this year after foregoing or doing just basic maintenance at refineries for a few seasons. First, it was COVID that prevented workers from being sent to refineries for maintenance. Then it was the rebound in demand – especially in 2022 – during which refineries ran at near capacity to meet consumption. So this refinery maintenance season is expected to be longer and involve a higher number of refineries across the U.S., temporarily driving operational capacity lower and fuel prices higher

Gasoline prices in the United States have risen in recent days.

How much does the govt make off of big oil? Is that gouging?

Govt takes 50% of people's earnings in some localities. Is that gouging?

Defending oil companies. This is fucking Stockholm syndrome.

That whole narrative about blaming it on big oil isn't working like it used to.  People are waking up to how the government is pushing shit....thanks brandon.

For gullible dummies such as yourself. Sure.

Look what party is pushing it toward their base.  Just like gun control, just like abortion, just like having tampons in boys bathrooms, just like pedo's.  Your party is a mess with zero morals or ethics, but hey, keep up the good work.  Remember those social programs are the same as you doing God's work.

Eek….

Normally, prices at the gas pump drift lower during the dead of winter as lousy weather keeps Americans off the roads. But something unusual is happening this year: Gas prices are rocketing higher.

The national average for regular gas jumped to $3.51 a gallon on Friday, according to AAA. Although that's a far cry from the record of $5.02 a gallon last June, gas prices have increased by 12 cents in the past week and 41 cents in the past month

We close refineries but we never open a new one seems like bad policy. As a country having refinery capacity should be a strategic necessity.

Liberal policies!!!  You have got to love how they are designed to mold society.  But ultimately they just hurt the middle class of this country the most.
