Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted January 24, 2023 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) In 2023 Fed, State and Local govts are expected to collect close to $9 trillion in tax revenue. That’s $27,272 per man woman and child in this country. Family of 4 $109,088. Almost $5 trillion collected by the fed govt alone and we will still run a trillion dollar deficit. Yet half our country thinks we don’t collect enough money and spend too little. Many poor and middle class pay no federal income taxes.

When I pointed out Trumps record debt and deficit the original poster said revenue was up, I guess that doesn't matter anymore.

I remember that I never supported any of these bills. It doesn't matter if it is a dem or rep. I also know that every POTUS before trump spent time in politics in Washington as part of those other 535. Think about who you bitch about. The guy who was on 4 years, or the swamp who are in for 40 +? Edited January 25, 2023 by racer254

It was the biggest display of hypocrisy anyone has ever put forth on these forums. Retarded tea party Trumpers making excuses for massive government spending. Not 1 dime spent without out your orange god's signature.

I always harped on Trumps spending. 2. Vast majority of that come in 2020 during the pandemic. I wish he would have held firm on some of the spending but there really wasn't much choice on some of it. 3. Congress has much more to do with spending than the POTUS. No excuse even when the Senate had means of stopping it. Trump and the GOP should have stood strong and shut the govt down. Again spending was one of the biggest disappointments I had with Trump but as I've also said before no candidate is going to meet every single one of your political values. You have to choose one the meets the most of them. Do you approve of everything Biden does? And sounding like a broken record around 65% of the fed budget is mandatory spending that is set by previous laws and very, very difficult to do anything about. https://www.heritage.org/budget-and-spending/commentary/trump-budget-cuts-size-federal-government-bolder-reforms-needed Edited January 25, 2023 by Highmark

It’s like bragging up your RAM 1500 TRX’s HP but then saying you always condemned it’s fuel economy as if there’s some magical universe where the two are mutually exclusive.
