what the actual fuck is wrong with people and how the fuck does a kid with 'mental health issues' have access to a firearm?  :(

Well it is the Alabama of the midwest.

Mom nailed it .  No conscience whatsoever. Do you think twice about killing a fly?  Feel bad after?  This exactly how it is to kill a human being for what seems like a lot nowadays.  No laws or politicians can fix this. Stop looking at them for answers.

3 most significant early actions of a serial killer.   Cruelty to animals, arson and lack of remorse.   Kid probably should be institutionalized for life.

The boy’s aunt said that when she picked up the boy, he retrieved a set of house keys that contained a key to the gun’s lock box. When his aunt asked about the shooting, the boy said he pointed the gun at his mom, and that she told him to put it down.

The boy’s aunt and sister said he never cried or showed remorse. They also said he logged into his mother’s Amazon account and ordered an Oculus Virtual Reality Headset the morning after she died. That same morning, he physically attacked his 7-year-old cousin.

Relatives said the boy has a history of disturbing behavior. When he was 4, he swung the family’s puppy around by its tail, the complaint says. Six months ago, family told police, the boy filled a balloon with a flammable liquid and set it on fire, causing an explosion that burned furniture and the carpet. Relatives recalled that when asked about that, the boy said he hears five imaginary people talking to him.

Yup!  Abusing animals is usually a good sign you have a psychopath.
Completely convinced my nephew is a psycho.  Caught him several times when he was young being mean to dogs.  My father in law confronted him about some minor thing.  He stared him right in the eyes and told him “don’t worry, you will be dead soon anyway “.  In HS now, just had an incident where he put his hands on a girl’s throat.  Sister-in-law is in complete denial.  Kid ain’t right, never has been.

remember when people, even kids would be wards of the state?

all the signs were there... with a ten year old?

then, to have any potential access to firearms... yowza.

Too much Coddling these days, no parental discipline and no consequences for actions.  Anybody wonder why the crime rates are skyrocketing??  Here we are.

meth or crack baby maybe?

I seriously don't know but it seems there's been red flags up for at least six years.

kid kills his mom, and still with no remorse orders the VR headset the next day?

I'm going to guess the caliber of parenting, love or attention you or I have done with our own children pales in comparison.  not that she deserved to get shot...
