Herf Airing It Out

The cattails in Warroad were always a surprise every lap.  If you picked the wrong line, you'd smoke muskrat mounds or frozen chucks of ground.  Different lines would result in this.

Overcast was always the worst, especially on the first lap.  Never knew what you were going to find.

Ditches up there could be pretty wicked too.

If it is from Warroad, it is in the cattails heading back to the Casino after dropping back onto the lake.

big difference between SX and XC is the speed they're flying at.

Jim could tell ya more, maybe he'll chime in here.

:)

I wonder if the one in the picture above had shocks that were somehow modified from their stock form? 🤔

Who is that?

The Lester’s are the beginning, middle and end of all reviews and media knowledge about new sleds. The video of that sled bottoming so hard off a tiny jump that the headlight pod sunk down into the hood was just a weird camera angle. When the Lester’s say the suspension is good and not to soft then you KNOW it’s not too soft. The problem is the rider is too fat and heavy. The Polaris Ambassador’s will also assure you that the sled wasn’t too soft.

shockingly, no snowbike patents from Polaris?

this said, wtf does Polaris actually have for patents and innovation?  do they pretty much copy and modify what BRP and Cat do without being sued?

you should really look into this

They buy companies. It’s easier that way

but seriously, I can't recall the last great innovation adapted by the other big brands from Polaris on the snow side.

can you?

this said, they sell a fuckload more machines than Cat because (imo) well done marketing and the most 'new' of any major brand.

They are selling a turbo 2 stroke trail sled. No one has done that yet. Their evo sled was way before the blast

There was also the Ski Doo Freestyle and Indy Lite 340 before the Blast and EVO.

I'm not entirely sure a turbo 2 stroke turbo sled is really game changing.

IMO no one has done anything game changing since the 2003 rev.

BRP beat them to market with a 2 stroke turbo, AC beat them both to market with a turbo sled

Polaris has totally innovated! They came out with the game changing, terrain dominating Pro-Ride baler rear skid in the fall of ‘09. Oh wait….

Polaris came out with a laid backwards 900 twin in ‘05 that had the intake and exhaust on the *same* side…oh, what’s that? Just like Cat. Huh.

Polaris has belt drive!

Polaris has a cast chassis that is glued together!

Polaris has a really fancy $1000 gauge that lets you text and take calls from work while you are out riding.

Polaris didn’t have a 4-stroke until this year because they are super gay.

Polaris came out with a 900 twin cause that’s not been done in like 10-15 years.

Polaris sells really expensive kits so you can convert your perfectly good dirt bike into a half ass snowmobile.
