Why was that not the case when they moved em out of Florida?  Sounds like more trafficking no?

Dumping them in Marthas Vineyard was a political stunt…just admit it…will it work…who knows.

Yep, put them right into the military for a couple years or so to help with getting their citizenship

How about we develop an expedited system where  they can get work credentials.

On track for more than 2 million aliens again this year and that wont change until the administration in the White house does so hopefully they do something. Military service for citizenship is an option IMO

Yup, I agree it was a stunt to prove a point I got no issue admitting that? The stunt is working perfectly too they don’t want them on their elite island they want to ship em off to some caged comfortable military base out of their sight. Why not put them up in the hotels or b&bs on the island surely that’ll be more comfortable for them and they ain’t being used in the off season now.

That province town mayor bitching about not getting any warning, what he doesn't watch the news of the caravans coming up ? This guy live under a rock ? It's not ok to overwhelm another state's resources and sit back and watch from the safety of your island.

Funny how all of a sudden we ain't all in this together.

If your a sanctuary city you should have some type of plan.

”We are here to help those coming across the border!”

When bus pulls up…. “What the fuck, Texas?”.  “Why are these people on my beach?”.  Hypocrites.

All they do is try and talk a good game. They don’t want them but they will never say that

Migrant surge overwhelms Border Patrol and shelters in Texas

THE HOPES THEY WILL FIND THEIR

A new surge of migrants, primarily from Venezuela, is overwhelming the Border Patrol and shelters in El Paso, Texas, where nearly 1,000 have been released near bus stations over the past week in hope that they will find their own way to their next destinations in the U.S.

On average, the El Paso Sector of the U.S. border has had about 1,300 migrants cross per day, up from May’s high of 1,000 per day, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. Meanwhile, the processing center meant to hold migrants temporarily until they can be released with court dates is at double capacity, said Valeria Morales, a spokesperson for the Border Patrol in El Paso.

Since last Wednesday, 932 migrants have been released in what are commonly known as “street releases” and Border Patrol calls “provisional releases."

“Generally, after processing, migrants who are not detained for the duration of their removal proceeding are provisionally released in coordination with NGOs [non-governmental organizations]. If NGOs are over capacity, U.S. Border Patrol coordinates with local government and cities to identify locations where migrants can conveniently access transportation services or accommodations,” Morales said.

Hundreds of migrants, mainly Venezuelans, who have not yet been processed by Border Patrol have amassed in an El Paso neighborhood called Chihuahita as they await processing. Border agents do biometric screenings on migrants before their “street releases” but hold those who may pose a threat to public safety.

Venezuelans have migrated to the U.S. in large numbers in recent years because of poverty, violence and shortages of medicine and food in their homeland.

El Paso’s Democratic mayor joined Texas’ Republican governor in August by chartering buses and sending migrants to New York City, but most are still responsible for finding their own transportation to the destinations inside the U.S. where they are eventually to appear before immigration courts.

Overall border crossings by undocumented migrants dipped slightly over the summer, down from May’s historic high of more than 240,000 undocumented migrant encounters in a single month.

A year ago, in late September 2021, more than 10,000 Haitian migrants camped under a bridge during a surge in Del Rio, Texas.

2 busloads of migrants dropped off near VP Harris' residence

2 buses of migrants arrive outside VP Harris’s residence in DC: FOX News

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two buses of migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border were dropped off near Vice President Kamala Harris' home in residential Washington on Thursday morning in the bitter political battle over the Biden administration's immigration policies.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been busing migrants out of Texas to cities with Democratic mayors as part of a political strategy this year because he claims there are too many arrivals over the border to his state. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey also has adopted this policy, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also got in on the act recently. It was first dreamed up by former President Donald Trump.

Abbott tweeted that he'd sent the buses that arrived Thursday: “We’re sending migrants to her backyard to call on the Biden Administration to do its job & secure the border.”

About two dozen men and women stood outside the U.S. Naval Observatory at dawn, clutching clear plastic bags of their belongings carried with them over the border, before moving to a nearby church. Harris' office had no immediate comment.

After migrants seeking asylum cross the U.S.-Mexico border, they spend time in a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility along the border until they are generally released into the U.S. to wait out their cases. Republicans say Biden's policies encourage migrants to vanish into the U.S.; Democrats argue the Trump-era policy of forcing migrants to wait out their asylum cases in Mexico was inhumane.

DeSantis flew two planes of immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday. And last week, Abbott sent about 75 migrants to Chicago.

District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a public emergency last week over the continued arrival of buses of migrants. The district earlier requested National Guard assistance to help stem a “growing humanitarian crisis” prompted by the arrival of thousands of migrants, but the Pentagon rejected the request.

Of course it was a political stunt.  Thats what politicians do.  It was a brilliant political stunt.  And DeSantis just won the chess match.
