Will the 2027 858s have bolt in crossmembers on the bulkheads? Seems like warranty is gonna get expensive for them if this keeps happening.

That is the only break?

That’s from the rod sawzalling through it when the motor let go at 8250

I just assumed it was a new place for the front frame to crack.

One was rolling in when that one was rolling out, didn’t go all the way through on the second one. Both stock units, one had 1200 miles the other 4200. I have a feeling I’m gonna be good at these bulkheads by the end of winter.

Yes, I’m not sure if the rods are breaking on their own from harmonics or something or if the skirt is breaking off at the wrist pin and then rod breaks when it’s free to go wherever it needs to through the case. Everything spins free and the piston slides freely in the cylinder on the 2 I’ve had my hands on so far.

Not great for new owners

Well, figured out a way to get the engine and jackshaft back into alignment without tearing the whole sled apart and installing a new belt drive. Had a test piece made and brought the alignment within a couple thousandths of dead nuts which can be taken care of with a shim if desired. Gonna test it in the next couple days and see if it does what we all hope it will.
