makes one wonder just how many other cheap parts have been used on them. maybe they're lighter than ngk boots...

Any issue shouldn't be an issue. This is a super minor and easy fix, I'd be very happy if it was me. But I guess you have the right to be glass half empty internet commentator. 👍

Tore it down last night and the rails and other parts are broke. Un sure what to do now. Sell it as is and wash my hands of it or rebuild it and brake it again? Either way I put a catalyst in the junk yard in 2 1/2 months. Not impressed. My rr sleds never broke parts like this thing has.

That sucks. Where is Jimwit to tell us that it is the best thing since slicedbread even though the previous version was so great it didn't need to be replaced.

rebuild, upgrade everything possible to 2023 RXC spec in the skid, put on a new track, fix the Ohlins and sell it to me at a major loss... I also expect it to be washed/waxed and delivered.

going to try an XCR next?

Turns out the plastic boards can’t take a snocross track

I found you really don’t need a special tool to remove the track. A sawzall makes track removal a breeze. Hopefully my mom can sew it back together when it is time to put it back on.

What’s funny is I made the same comments on the rear skid about the front arm last year and the “demo riders” said I didn’t know what I was talking. Then I did lesters idea of upgrading lol. I should probably apply to review for him. I wonder how long the stock parts would have lasted before I crashed the sled or had broke it?

The RXC 858 helix is stamped 56/49 and is superseded with another 56/49 number. I don't know what is up with the discontinued number.

There are quite a few different part numbers for stock 56/49 helixes. I'm not sure if they changed the rate of progression? I do understand the part number change when they switched to ADAPT vs Team, but I don't know why they show differently between models in the MY 25 sleds.

it's weird for sure as the 56-49's are literally found in everything else 2024/2025 and # 0748-050...

To my knowledge these are all new part numbers for Adapt equipped machines from 2022 and up. The 050 was used commonly in several 800cc 22 and up sleds... so my assumption was the 858's are or would be different but can't find the information?

Funny thing about this, they were also in the process of moving to a new item# system.

The new numbers, three - five digets. (001-00001), do not apply to the helix. The new numbers show up in strange spots on parts diagrams. One example, the 858 primary uses the old style numbers except for the screw bushings under the cover. The 858 motor shows old numbers except on the cylinders and gasket "sets"? It's odd that some obviously new parts don't use the new numbers system while some new parts fall under the updated system.

My SWAG is that its a break between stuff developed by/under textron, vs pre-textron. The havoc/stampeede used the new numbering system (it was developed in GA), as does some of the 600 ATV

Wasn't there something with some of these OEM helixes no longer having a "rolled" bushings vs hard edged? Maybe some do some don't hence different P/Ns? I know it was implicated in some of the inconsistent RPM issues some were having, myself included. I switched to BDX for a helix which def has a rolled bushing. My issues disappeared along with some other minor clutching changes.

Could be. Tpi has a secondary mod for them and that could be it.
