He built the pipes for D&D (and a couple of other aftermarket performance shops), he didn't design them. After a SnowTech reviewer mentions putting tons of miles on the Doo 600R and the Pol 650, he says: "The Catalyst is a 600. It does not feel like a 650 or 700. It is fast . . . but it is just a 600." (In the same issue, the long-term testing crew said, "Calling the Polaris 650 a '650' does not seem fair as it truly delivers performance more like what we would expect from a 700-class engine.")
