Doesn’t look like wagon friendly territory that it was just 70 years ago Island Road is built and connects Isle De Jean Charles to Pointe Aux Chênes. The road is the only road to the island and the only road on the island. Previously residents were able to travel to the mainland by wagon trails through the marsh or by boat.
