Ethanol - Water - Gas - Oil

Recommended Posts

I seen this video a few years back and several people have recommended using "Mechanic In a Bottle"  or "Ethanol Shield" over the years. JMO I like this verses other additives out there for all of my gasoline equipment 2s or 4s. Click the link below and watch the video.

The Mechanic In a Bottle is the yellow bottle in the middle of his test/video.

Any one try or use Tru-Fuel in their lawn equipment?? They sell premixed 50:1 - 40:1 or 4 stroke mix?? I've seen it in different big box stores and auto parts stores, man it's pretty pricey, around $25.00 us for a gallon can of it. Is it worth buying and using in stuff that doesn't get used that much or only a couple times a month or year??

I don't see why it'd be worth it when gas from the station costs much less.  I've never had a gas problem in any of my seasonal equipment

I started using Husqie premixed fuel in my chainsaws and weedwackers, and have never needed to have a carb cleaned since.  Worth every penny, hate cleaning those tiny carbs.

I've tried the straight gas in my snowblowers, and it works well, but gets expensive.  I went back to regular gas with Stabil on the snowblower and generator, which is adequate.  I always run the gas out of the carb after using, because otherwise they'll need the carb cleaned next time I go to use them.

Yup, I use trufuel in my leaf blower, chain saw and weed whacker. I don’t have a huge lawn or cut a ton of wood so I use about 2-3 gallons a year sure it’s kinda pricey but the equipment always starts and runs perfect so it’s worth it to me.

You can buy a gallon of race gas cheaper. It actually works well in the air cooled lawn equipment
