You cann,t fix stupid, and there seems to be a lot of it around lately, in all areas, from idiot drivers on sleds, to truck drivers driving unsafe vehicles, to overdosing on illegal drugs.  What ever happened to common sense. WTF is wrong with people lately ? Is a large dose of stupid being added to all the drinking water lately ?

You just cant fix society when everyone is permitted to blame someone or something else for their poor choices.

If people were held fully accountable for their decisions then maybe things would change.

Top it off with the fools that are always looking to blame something or someone else for their stupidity. The guy did this at 4:00 am and took off.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/streetcar-tunnel-driver-1.3995517

Crews extracted an SUV from a streetcar tunnel leading to Union Station after a 21-year-old man drove nearly 800 metres into it on Thursday morning.

The driver made it from the tunnel entrance Queens Quay West "up to Union Station, where the streetcars offload and load passengers," said TTC spokesperson Brad Ross. He said the man is facing at $425 fine from the TTC for illegal entry.

"The driver of the car seemed to indicate he was simply following his GPS," said Ross.

How effing stupid could a person be to not notice as they bump, bump, bumped along?

Well, to give you another idea how dumb some people are, a  few years ago, a guy in our local marina who was a dumbfack ex government employee, took us out for a daytime boat ride, and he insisted he follow his chartplotter path, right into a facking island near Gan, instead of going in between a couple of islands. We finally were able to convince him, just in time, he better turn the wheel before we ended up on an island. Last boat ride with that guy. Somehow, thinking back, he said he had a brother, by the name of Jason, so now it all makes sense.

Especially when the bottom of the car is scraping the raised tracks once into the tunnel. 800 meters is about 1/2 mile. You think maybe he'd been drinking a bit.

Exactly! I wonder if the idgit was from Toronto or out of town? It's not like that tunnel is new.

Dude, please go back and finish your grade 8 English.  Are you sure you're not Failmaker?

Guy sounds like the typical Yamacat rider.

Didn't somebody (Fuzzy's extended family) die in the U.S. after going down a non-serviced road, per their GPS?

Actually in the tunnel the TTC spokesman said that the rails are mounted to the concrete. I wonder if there were any switches the car had to 'climb' over?

The TTC rep on the radio that morning said the vehicle would be scraping the tracks all the way along. They had to get a crane of some type in to raise the car above the tracks rather than just drag it out backwards.

Have you seen how many end up driving down sled trails?  Look at the Greyhound Bus few years ago.....

When the Canada wide arrest warrant was issued for Nathan Kuijer, 'Officer Cam' was talking about the procedure. He mentioned a warrant could be filed for Theft over $5000 w/ a distance (to be returned). The way I took it if the police stopped the person within the radius he would be arrested/held. What do the police do if they stop the person outside the radius & see the warrant on CPIC (I assume)?
