It's the sensors. Not the exhaust.

I'm not going on about EV pick ups. My statement was they don't have pollution control issues like ICE do.

You are lumping me in with the greenies and I'm nothing of the sort and have said many times if you take money away from climate control it will become a thing of the past.

That's the problem with people like you. Someone questions you and you become unhinged and easily ignored.

Not triggered...Im laughing at your backpeddle game. :backpeddle:

Never said ur a greenie. In fact it appears I am more concerned about emissions and pollution than you .

You keep saying sensors and CEL as if the Cat does not do anything . All good man whatever

Haven't backpedalled whatsoever and stand by my original statement. When they first started putting cats on ICE you could run with a fucked cat because there were no sensors. Now not so much. Like I said it's the sensors.

You're obviously young and that's before your time.

If the Cat is fucked it is no longer helping with pollution, just like one that is rotted off,  pretty obvious .

all my cars are old except my Wife's

I could drive with a CEL for emissions related stuff no problem on all my cars....in fact my truck is no longer required to pass emissions yet I keep it compliant.

When an EV pickup or SUV can do what my truck has done for 20 years and counting, Ill gladly buy one.

Holy fuck. You're missing the point!

Not seeing any pollution control issues there, which happens quite often on ICE vehicles.

No. I said there's no pollution control issues with an EV like there is with an ICE.

Your comprehension is the problem.

You're not everyone though.

What does exhaust have have to do with pollution control issues?

3 hours ago, Steve753 said:

You're both missing the point. It's the sensors that bring up a CEL. There's no such sensors on a EV for pollution control.

I've had basically free flowing cats on few of my vehicles. As long as the 02 sensors read within spec you don't get a CEL. You can fool any sensor if you want. It's all about sensors.

And wgaf if it's polluting more. My statement was an EV will not have pollution control issues that an ICE will and your first reply confirmed that.

2 hours ago, Steve753 said:

And an EV doesn't have that problem. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

2 hours ago, Steve753 said:

Still my point was an EV doesn't have pollution control.

2 hours ago, Steve753 said:

AC brought up issues with an EV. I simply pointed out an issue an ICE could have that an EV wouldn't and it's triggered you guys.

2 hours ago, Steve753 said:

You don't have to on an EV.

:ok:

Your point has fucking been said over 10 times ....We get it.

You dont get that "Pollution Control problems" is a fart in the wind compared to what it takes to make a EV vehicle.

add 20 years and I doubt the Ford Lighting EV will be doing anything except getting crushed into a land fill.

but those damn pollution control problems tho...

Doing this drive with my RV in-tow starting on Friday.  When I can do this with an EV without needing to stop to charge for an hour every 90 miles, I'm 100% in.

Coming back to God's country? I'm taking off to Price County for the family lake home in an hour. Traffic should be non-existent.

So how are they "worth it"?

I don't just own one car, I own 5.  I buy them new and keep them for 10 years.

And all 5 you always drive only over 300+ miles at a time.  We see why you don't want an EV.

There is also a false sense that EV's are more reliable than ICE vehicles.  They are not.

Tesla makes a piece of shit.  One visit to the plant and that is SUPER obvious.  That reliability will not plague real manufacturers.  Way less to go wrong on an EV.

I can dig that. Fuck Church and organized religion  :bc:

Actually, I don't care about the church or the organized religion but the people that currently are part of that organization sure are shit.

Sure see alot of them. Now that I've got my eye on getting one I've noticed them more and more.
