You're both missing the point. It's the sensors that bring up a CEL. There's no such sensors on a EV for pollution control.

if my trucks cat converters were rotted off would it not be polluting more?

No. I said there's no pollution control issues with an EV like there is with an ICE.

Your comprehension is the problem.

Are you a faggot

I've had basically free flowing cats on few of my vehicles. As long as the 02 sensors read within spec you don't get a CEL. You can fool any sensor if you want. It's all about sensors.

And wgaf if it's polluting more. My statement was an EV will not have pollution control issues that an ICE will and your first reply confirmed that.

Diesels have emissions controls issues. Gas engines seldom ever do.  But that’s a problem made by the EPA not the engines themselves

And an EV doesn't have that problem. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

You asked what did an exhaust have to do with emissions... I apologize for simply answering your inquiry...

Still my point was an EV doesn't have pollution control.

Shit my 20 year old Escalade still has its original exhaust.  200k and towing sleds in New England salt/brine.

I did just recently have to replace fuel vapor canister but other than that no emission issues ever with that truck.

Exactly.  There is no fucking away to even consider an EV at 20 years still in service.

I had to replace the canister in the F150, there was only one other issue with it.

You can finger yourself about that while sitting at Walmart waiting for your EV to charge so you can make it to your next pride parade

AC brought up issues with an EV. I simply pointed out an issue an ICE could have that an EV wouldn't and it's triggered you guys.

You don't have to on an EV.

Again, none of that matters when the rest of the car is a gremlin.

Repairs are very $$$ once out of warranty.  If you buy a new car every 3 years, none of that matters.

All that is the same with an ICE, especially a diesel.

Wait till you see the towing range

Someone made a video of that recently. It’s like 1/2 the range of a 6.2 gasser, it took an extra hour to charge and they didn’t go to the actual intended destination as they turned around and went home. The ev truck will be fine for driving around town

Doing this drive with my RV in-tow starting on Friday.  When I can do this with an EV without needing to stop to charge for an hour every 90 miles, I'm 100% in.

almost as dumb of a comment as "what does exhaust have to do with pollution control"

If it doesn't matter they pollute more why the fuck are you going on about EV pickups?

why the fuck do Lefties want to eliminate ICE vehicles?

Why are people blaming Automobiles on Global Warming?

Final question,  Are you high?

It's the sensors. Not the exhaust.

I'm not going on about EV pick ups. My statement was they don't have pollution control issues like ICE do.

You are lumping me in with the greenies and I'm nothing of the sort and have said many times if you take money away from climate control it will become a thing of the past.

That's the problem with people like you. Someone questions you and you become unhinged and easily ignored.
