I believe Don has it. Hopefully you don't. It can be nasty. I worked with a young intern with it. She was 22 and had the joints of a 60 year old.

I appreciate the hopefulness, but I got it.  Hoping I caught it early enough.  And I don't wish it on anyone, cause like you said, it makes you feel like you just ran a marathon or spent the last day putting up about 2000 small bails in the barn.  Joints and muscles just unbelievable soreness.

Sorry to hear that you have it. Hopefully you caught it early enough for a full recovery. Good luck :bc:

Ugh, sorry. Hopefully you've found a good specialist and can get some decent intervention.

Had an older coworker that got it and they didn’t diagnose if for a couple of years. He got somewhat better but he eventually died from the damage the lymes had caused. Glad you caught it early!

Yeah, been hearing a lot of horror stories about the lasting crippling effects from it.  Just trying to become as informed as possible, on my 28 day dose of antibiotics right now.

Damn…that sucks Racer but fingers crossed that the antibiotics knock it the fuck out.👍🏼

Goddamn ticks anyhow….my Cattle Dog had/has it which makes me wonder on those days when my shoulders and knees hurt. Did you know you had been bitten by a tick or did you get tested because of the symptoms?

I got tested because I had bad muscle aches and joint pains that were lasting way longer than just normal workout soreness along with a bad rash.  I did not find a tick or anything.   And I honestly thought that there was no way I had Lymes as I did not find a tick or a bullseye type of bite.   But I was popping advil like they were skittles and as soon as they would wear off, the joint pain and muscle soreness would wake me up out of a dead sleep and I would pop a bunch more.  I usually don't take any type of pain meds as I can usually just deal with it, so it was pretty bad.

Wife got it about 8 years ago. She is starting to get symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis now which they say is one of the effects. Ticks are a fucking scourge.

They really are and now the Lonestar variety is spreading and this little fucker can potentially give a person an allergy to red meat. I saw a woman talking about it and she can’t even be in a room where it’s being cooked as it will trigger a serious reaction.

One of my friends got bit by a tick at Kentucky lake and he has been a mess ever since. He was one of the most physically fit guys I knew before that. His body started eating itself. He is a shell of what he was now.

Hopefully the meds wipe it out racer.
My mom has had it since 1988 , it’s been managed ok by devastated her joints and ability to move freely without pain.

I had a deer tick stuck to me earlier this summer , ticks have been as bad as I’ve ever seen them. I didn’t get a rash or anything. I pretty much ache around the clock but that’s related to bad back that needs surgery , working 100hrs a week and being an alcoholic

I live in a area that I consider paradise.  Unfortunately, it is all woods so ticks are out there and Lymes is something I always thought about, but never really bothered me as I have had ticks before and usually know when I have them on me.  But this little fucker must have gotten me and I didn't feel it.  I guess it is just another thing to deal with getting older.

I check myself every time I go into the woods and after mowing the yard.

I’ve had 3 or 4 on me since this  spring.

We live in town and I avoid the woods with the dog until winter but I still treat my yard for those little bastards…I hate to bring it up considering the last few years but a Lyme Vaccine is being developed for humans as we speak…🤓
