Mag6240
Besides the trusty rifle that I can't use in an urban setting, what works to get rid of them? I have a couple live traps, and some leg traps that haven't netted the bastages yet.... Haven't seen any in over 8 years, and suddenly this year we have FAMILIES of them. Yes, local development has pushed them into my 10 acres damnit!

Cat45
Could also use subsonic .22 rounds, probly not legal in town but alot quieter and won't attract much attention
1jkw
Block off the escape holes and put propane and oxygen in hole that is also covered in dirt, use steel wool and 12 volt battery as triggering device 25 feet or more away from holes when you set it off. 1

Platinum Contributing Member Skidooski Posted May 10, 2022 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted May 10, 2022 I've shot some nice integrally suppressed .22 air rifles in my yard that would put them down without a sound I was going subsonic 22lr suppressed until I tried these

MnDean
I had woodchucks under a shed a few years ago, I fed them cantaloupe for a few days , just to train them, then I just dropped a couple of chucks by there hole and waited with the 22, they loved that cantaloupe. Mainecat
I either shoot ‘em with a scoped 22 or trap em and then shoot ‘em with a 22 pistol. They get really careful so I have to use the trap. last summer the female had 6 pups. The fuckers eat everything from the veg garden to the wife’s annual flowers. sleepybrew
sheridan bluestreak air rifle. deadly accurate , 1 head shot and done. whatever you don't injure it so it's flopping around in the street. that may cause you some issues

Run a hose from the tail pipe into the hole. Pretty humane they just go to sleep
