Covid and Smoking reg cigs

Recommended Posts

There was a chart/graph around that I can no longer find that showed those that smoked were the very least likely to get covid. Of course I didn't, and still don't, know how accurate that was but it seemed legit.

I smoke, unfortunately, and haven't had a single covid symptom since this all began for whatever that is worth. :dunno:

OK let's just stick to cigs with it.

Why? You're saying nicotine stops covid, yet it doesn't.

No pot.  Just cigs with nicotine.  :bc:

If it does have something to do with nicotine I wonder if a nicotine gum or lozenge would also work

It's not the nicotine, it's the layer of tar coating your lungs.

That should be the case then.

Well I felt kinda off over the weekend, yesterday afternoon and evening felt like shit, 101.8 temp, headache. Took a home test and it's positive. So I'm not so sure on the tar or nicotine

Something in the nicotine that's acts as an inhibitor.

I don't smoke but the people I know who do have be pretty much immune to covid.  Something in nicotine blocks the virus is the theory.

Let's hear what others have experienced?

I have had it multiple times and smoke. Vaxed made no difference. Only reason I got tested the last time was I didn’t want to go to work meeting. It came positive so I got to stay home. I basically had the chills and sweats for 3 days. Then felt fine but was super tired for like 3 weeks afterwards. Side effect from the vid is I get random random sinus infections I never had before getting covid the first time.
