Gave it up for the better part of 12-15 years only to start back up end of last summer.   Played on a sim all winter and can't wait to get back out.

I have some friends that are serious golfers. Probably golf at least a couple times a week. They dont drink when they golf because thats how serious they are. LOL

I have about 3 outings per year for work (all are for charity) where most of my colleagues are also there and its a scramble. So we just mostly drive around and drink and fuck with each other. unstrap each others bags, park park each others cart in the bushes, swap balls out for the exploding ones. Totally immature shit. I love it

I have one buddy like that who won't drink at least on the front 9 while I'm at a beer a hole and still beat him.

Well some of these outings are like $1500 for a foursome so I make sure to bring a drinking crew and we get our moneys worth

No one needs friends like that. :bigfinger:

I got to admit when it comes to a round of putt putt, I can become emotional , violent,  and escorted to my car by security.

I get super pissed off. I stopped playing years ago because I just wasnt having fun. So the drunken scramble works better because only one of us has to make a playable shot on each stroke. As a team we are unstoppable!

The only white ball I enjoyed hitting was a cueball playing snooker/pool. I'm hoping to start playing a bit this summer after a hiatus the past 20 years. I'll be putting a table in once the new house is built.

Haven't had a table in my current house for the last two plus years, but have notched a handful of championships in the league we've been playing in for the last 10 or so years!

As for golf, I'll play with my adult son to spend time with him, but he always kicks my ass.  We do a father/son scramble once a year and usually land around 10th in a 50 team scramble - yeah, we use most of his shots!

For $1100 I get 2 memberships and a parking spot for my personal cart. Most days we just go when we feel like it,,,many days have the entire course to ourselves. My younger boy is 28,,,he can par the course when he's playing well,,,,my best so far is 2 over(9 holes). Find it very enjoyable although this year with the new lab pup I'll be going to the lake more.

Beat me to it ... who the hell golfs and doesn't drink?  That's 90% of the enjoyment!!

I actually have a league meeting tonight, after work ... we're supposed to start 2 weeks from tonight.  Sure as hell hope the weather starts taking a turn for the better, because it's not the most enjoyable digging beers out of a cooler when it's in the 40's outside, and trying to keep your hands warm to swing the sticks.
