I bought some today too.  Have a buddy who got the IPO at around 75/share.  OOF.

The reviews on their product is outstanding. They blow Tesla out of the water with fit - finish and overall quality.

Let’s see how the ball bounces.

Well with no battery partnership left and zero prospects in sight the bounce could take a bit . Sounds like they thought they had more pull/power than they did and got to watch a real global Corp laugh there way out the door

We know. The stock tanked from it's IPO. It's baked into the price right now. The partnership for Samsung to supply batteries is still in place. The transfer of Samsung's technology isn't.

Samsung looks to not even be making them a priority with there downward  fluctuating needs ? Big task to bring a new product like this to market many have tried over the yrs. . Hope they make it but a deff up hill fight especaly when you now have to battle the big boys with there established plants and supply lines that have been in place for decades

They wanted control of some one else's technology.  But they did not want to pay for it and were not as big of a fish as they thought .

So the start up car company did not demand ownership of technology and Samsung did not lol and walk away . 😆

It is fun when you think you are a big man on campus and end up at the party with your dick in your hand

Rivian did the right thing by hiring a bunch of car guys in Detroit. This isn’t computer guys making cars, like some of these other startups.

Hopefully you have enough left to buy a nice used domestic.  After the IPO investors made their IPO bump and got out this has gone down, down, down.  $50B market cap, no sales to speak of, and lost $2.5B last year.

The market for $70-80K small electric pickups and SUVs from a company that has never built a vehicle before isn't that big.

Negative $25 earnings per share on a $57 stock.

I'm sure many thought they would get in at the ground level on what they thought was another TSLA.

Expected. 1200 units were to be delivered during 2021 and they hit 1000. For all practical purposes that's a win. They've moved slow through the entire development process and have gotten the product right. Are you typically this pessimistic?

I'm I highly doubt Samsung would be bitching about order fluctuations of 200 units when looking at what would be a long term partnership.  Sounds like they got a quality spin doctor burning the midnight oil over at the struggling auto plant
