Intentional or not... still a bit too aggressive banging back and forth at those speeds and considering his father passed away at the track seventeen years ago. there's also seems to be a bit of a dispute about where the finish line is and where the transponder is located on the sled. Regardless of opinion, they're not going to reverse anything. There was a couple year period where a few people died at the race in the early 2000s. If I am thinking of the right year, his father did not pass away because of a crash. He had a heart attack in the middle of the race and fell off the sled. I was at that race and it wasn’t something wild. It wasn’t until later the news spread to the average spectator.
Not greg b
Found out how the winner was decided. It was not decided at by the soo officials at the track. The software they had could not brake the times down far enough. They sent the data back to the manufacture of timing system in Europe. They have the ability to brake it down farther. That is how they were able to come up with the .0001 difference. They sent that information back to the soo and the tommy Bauer sled declared the winner. DL has a long post about what went down on Facebook.

I still think they should have had the two of them do a five lap clockwise tie breaker with sleds setup to turn left.

They probably would have broke down 2 laps in
