snowplow guru's

Not a guru but have repaired few electrical issues on people’s plows.

What helps is getting wiring instructions /manuals. Fisher has great tech side of their website with tons of manuals and diagrams

Her’s a head start for finding your minute mount 2 manual/diagrams:

I suppose my first step is to pull a bulb and check for power ?

$8 test light can be a best friend. :)

Side note to anyone :lolI have two and also two snap on non wired ‘lights.’  Love’m. It buzzes w when power is touched. For the ground , use your other hand and touch a ground with that hand. Great for horrible spots. Lol.

want to test the pins on connecter coming from truck. Cant find diagram showing what pins are supposed to be what Im looking for.

It’s always those connectors. IV had em go out while plowing also the plow just stopped lifting. It’s usually the pin connectors. I used dielectric grease and it’s worked pretty good. I plow city streets that get salted and that does not help.

so who do you like if you dont like fishers ?  Meyer plows ?

I have a BOSS Sport Duty ( plastic ) Plow.

It has been a real good plow.

However it has to be lined-up just right, or it won't latch on.

A buddy of mine had a big Fisher plow, and he went crazy all afternoon trying to get it on.

Spend the 60.00 and buy a pin cleaning set. I do mine every year before the season. Then dielectric grease.

Or CRC and a brush will get you going.

Did the crc and got em working

Good news OP. :thumbs

===========
Furthering subject.,,,

If it (crc) doesn’t work, the battery terminal cleaning spray seems to work. Let it sit for awhile. 1/2hr? Hr ? Then clean out with whatever else spray cleaner that evaps fast.

I have small flat and round carburetor snd welding files that works pretty good on electrical plugs too.
