Doug
So we all know the four current manufactures. Yes I know. This will date some of us but what would be your sled of choice that's no longer manufactured? For me: 1) Merc Snow twister 2) Rupp Nitro 440 FA (covered) 3) Speedway 650 FA 4) Sno Jet 292 FA single cylinder

I like the street bike looking rear end and tube chassis.

I think a couple of sleds managed to get out before the factory was completly closed down. I read on another forum a long thread about a guy that had bought one and went over it bit by bit and fixing what was not "right" so it could be usable. Redline was THE machine everyone talked about but it took too long to get to the market so the competition was way ahead of it, and this sled is clearly not o "rider forward" machine. They even had a snocross sled (can´t find a picture of it) but it was banned because it was too light! The other brands lobbied for a minimum weight limit to get it banned it was said. Interesting machine anyway. Edited September 24, 2021 by zr800m10

Platinum Contributing Member Blackstar Posted September 28, 2021 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted September 28, 2021 Lots of brands around when I was a kid. In our neighbourhood there were Ski-doo, Polaris, Massey-Ferguson, Skiroule, Evinrude, Chaparrel, Snowcruiser and SnoPrince, and more. I remember going on a group ride and there was a french guy who showed up with an Alouette Super Brute. What an awesome looking machine.
