I dont ride with Piss Flaps like you. I work for a County. I do all my own maintenance on my sleds except for the shocks. Same for my vehicles. Oil changes, tire rotations etc. We (we) at work are a 2 man crew with one more hopefully soon. From Survey to Construction,  we do the work. Our Engineer let's us do our job as over 80 years experience between us. 100 if I include our recently retired co worker. More like 120 plus. I may buy a Blast soon. Fun sled. You should actually try one Piss Flaps. Might bring you back to when sledding was pure fun. Not this knocking people down because of well, nothing important.  Last sled I had go back to a dealer was in 1998. Only Cat warranty I ever used. Scored crank bearing from zuki. Had it back in less than a week. You now? Guessing you probably have to use help adding injection oil because you cant tell how full the reservoir is due to not knowing where the tank is located. Fuck you and your insinuations about me. Kiss my ass Piss Flaps. No use for people like you. You are like shit on my boots. Make that urine. Textron saved Cat. That is a fact! Your look what they did with Polaris has ZERO bearing today. That was 1980. Carter was President. I know u will say look at Biden, but he is literally irrelevant. A stain on an old pair of pants. Later Piss Flaps! Go Fuck yourself!

One guy at each end of a project holding the slow sign. 😂

5.  Fuck you and your insinuations about me.

6.  No use for people like you. You are like shit on my boots. Make that urine.

7.  Textron saved Cat. That is a fact! Your look what they did with Polaris has ZERO bearing today.

8.  That was 1980. Carter was President.  I know u will say look at Biden, but he is literally irrelevant.

I've decided to attempt to break this down and adjust your own words into some sort of comprehendible... thing:lol:

 1.  you've never spent a day working in an actual business (like an Arctic Cat dealer) or had to deal with actual customers (like a product rep) or ever worked with a company that makes a profit (like Polaris or BRP) or a loss (like the snow division on Textron)

2.  Maintenance.  Going to need some clarity from you on this.  Are you telling us you know how to use a grease gun, change a belt, add engine oil and gasoline or are you capable of delving further into the machine?   Proud of you for being capable of changing your own oil and rotating your tires (chuckling).  So that 1998 Cat, was it a piece of shit and/or how/why did it score a crank bearing?

3.  I have no idea what this has to do with anything you've been asked, nor do I or most others give a fuck.

4.  It's 'know', not 'now' Ramstupid.  Would you like me to post a video showing how to add Klotz or APV?  I can do a premix or break in fuel load as well if it suits your fancy.

5.  Because they're spot on?

6.  Yet, you can't help yourself from continually making yourself more enraged by responding?  Thy own worst enemy is thyself.

7.   I will partially agree, Textron saved Arctic Cat but only to milk every last drop of blood out of the brand and to suck every nickel they possibly could from the last green goggled consumers as is possible.  This is how corporations like Textron ultimately work.  Minimal investment for maximum return.  They have utterly drained all the product development resources and purged the company of engineers (not engineering techs capable of installing BNG's like yourself) product development specialists, marketing specialists (like Kale) and anyone from Arctic Cat's past that (from my pov) actually gave a fuck about the brand.  Thank god they still have a few people like Mike Kloety around to keep our faith alive (except for that one year they CLOSED the race program).  This all said, your acumen for business is obviously limited (blinded most likely) to working in a career that ritually spends all the money the county gives your department and works solely within an ever increasing budget with little to no personal accountability for the decisions made within and by your department.  Arctic Cat snow division is a business at the end of the day, which you've shown you know little to nothing about.  So yes, Textron did save Arctic Cat but it wasn't for your benefit, or Arctic Cat's.

8.  Great job producing a fact within your rant.  I was eleven in 1981 fwiw.  As far as Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, another Bush, Reagan, Carter... they have nothing to do with any of the facts stated above.

Get some game Jimmy... stick to facts, or at the very least believable assumptions.  ;)

go two turns looser on the l/f spring and three turns tighter on the r/f for max effect and make your noises into a traffic cone... for maximum effect.  if you don't have a traffic cone to braap into maybe @ZR6000RR can requisition you one off the truck next time he's setting them up on the road.  ;)

I prefer the Sandberg method to practice corners - set up a few boots.

You are the fat pig that holds the stop or go slow sign.  We've been over this.  Whoop de fucking do.  My 10 yr old would be better than you at that although he would get bored on day 1 and go and get a better job.

We design bridges, grading and paving. You know, things you have no clue of how they were built, but you drive on them. Poor Piss Flaps. Denied again a good hard core slam. Clean up, isle 5!

Ie, someone you know designs stuff.  You sit back and hold a sign since you are too dumb to do anything else.

Dave Brown felt bad for them I heard. Isn't second place the first loser Piss Flaps? How did Wes do on that fucking awesome ski doo? From what I read here, not that great.

I see Polaris has additional venting for the Matryx listed in the Racer Resources section again for anyone with a warm runner or looking to reduce heat loads.  $20 and some fun with a drill if anyone wants to cool down their trail sled, not sure how warm the clutches or under hood temps run on these but.... ;)

Jimmy would say I'm cheating if I drilled holes in my hood. 😂Both of my Matrix run cooler than my Pro-S's did.

ISR says it's fine.  Did you see the drilling on Herf's mod sled?  Yikes!

Cooler is always better... isn't it?  IDK if the 650's or 850's run warm, but for a mere $20 in screens I'd do it just because if I had one, especially on the clutch side.

Frankly- mine didn't seem to run hot at all. I didn't shoot a temp gun at the clutches to see sheave temps, but my "touch test" didn't reveal any excessive heat from my 650. Belt life seems reasonable, altho I had a bit more belt dust than I expected.

How do you like the sled vs the procross? I'm looking at selling my zr and getting a matryx assault for next year.

There are some significant differences compared to the ProCross whether people want to admit it or not. You must spend some time calibrating the handling of the Matryx to get it to handle the way you want. It took me about 500 miles to really dial the handling in. The chassis responds amazingly well to body english, and when set up properly handles/rides extremely well. I can push this sled just as hard as I could my '17 Roger Skime. At first, it seems like the Matryx sits up really high (and it does), but it quickly becomes comfortable, and now that I am used to it, I could not go back to the seating position of a ProCross. The Matryx allows you to really throw it around- and it is a very fun ride. The center of gravity on the Matryx is very high, so initially it doesn't feel as planted. But, as you adjust your riding style and add additional weight transfer in the corners, it actually adds to the fun factor and can corner extremely well. I needed to put on a 6" Powermadd riser to allow me to sit back far enough and get my knees/lower legs/arms in a neutral position. Initially, I didn't like the seat. But now that I have adjusted my riding style, I really like it.

The sled is very well engineered. I had some initial quality control issues like everyone did, but now am at about 1800 miles on it- I haven't had any issues since the 200 mile mark. The 650 engine is remarkable. What a sweet power plant! Great fuel and oil economy. The WE Velocity shocks work well- are they significantly better than the QS-3's? No. The ride on my Roger Skime and VR-1 are both excellent.

The Procross is a warmer chassis without question. You sit way up and behind the windshield of a Matryx, and you feel it. I need a grandpa windshield.

The 7S display and hand warmers I thought were really stupid initially. But now? I'd never be without them. You quickly develop an appreciation for the 7S display and the hand warmer settings.

There's probably 10,000 more things I could share if I thought about it for a while....

I've been riding a friend's axys assault the last few trips and I'm really starting to like it. It's a better riding position for me than my zr, but it does seem to have a very high cg but it isn't tippy when riding it. The shocks must be in need of rebuild because they don't do much in the bumps, my zr feels way better in the rough stuff but it's setup just right for me. We do alot more logging rd/goat path riding than i used to so i think the assault will work better than an xcr for me. I'm just worried that it won't handle or ride as good as the zr.

on the old Axis XCR you could get a 128" 1.75" Backcountry... the new ones (136") are 1.6 Cobra :puke:

an Assault even with a 1.25 is a pretty capable sled, on and off trail.

It completely kills the desire to have to ride a ProCross and makes you want to trade back fast everytime you ride your friends.  That alone makes the PC feel ancient in comparison.
