Society is merely a collection of social constructs. These are stories we tell ourselves that shape our reality.

We have the power to change that reality whenever we'd like. We're the only species on the planet who can.

That's where you are wrong.   Not everyone will got thru this "evolution" you speak of and that's the only way society like you desire could exist.  The fact remains is we are at where we are because of capitalism.   If society was as you desire for the past 200 years we would never have accomplished what we have and have far greater poverty, illness and despair.

Let do this game: Let’s list all the places capitalism has failed then, let’s list all the places socialism has failed.

You go first.

Places Capitalism has failed:

Oh, yes.  “Do your own homework!!!!”

There may not truly be any winning on the internet but, I’m relatively sure there is losing.  These type of statements trying to end a debate is one of them.

Clearly when you've lost your cool, you concede the argument.

I believe the CCP and CCCP would disagree with you...

China and the USSR are/were state capitalist at best. Neither has achieved anything beyond that.

Everywhere it's been tried...would you rather live in North Korea or South Korea?

Really, so an economic system that relied on slave labor, then went to child labor, then prison labor; and created an oligarchy that seized the government, creates a huge wealth disparity, destroys the environment, invades countries, kills millions of people, steals their resources; requires a large amount of underpaid workers; and crashes every decade or so, is your definition of "working"?

LMAO.

Everyone bought into the social construct of money, so it's absolutely possible we could all agree that a new social construct is valid and that the old one is not.

No people bought into if I work hard I will enjoy the fruits of that labor.  That will NEVER change for a large % of the population.

You're kidding yourself if you think that is actually the case. The hardest working person in the country is probably living at or near poverty.

Workers are beginning to realize, to some degree or another, that the way you become successful in this country is not through hard work, but from working the system. As the gap between the haves and have nots continues to widen, more and more people will come to this realization. Once it reaches critical mass, The jig Is up and capitalism is over.

I know you all like to tell yourselves stories about how hard you work and all that, but I know quite a few guys who can work circles around every single partner and investor in our operation and everyone here. These guys are doing okay, but are by no means wealthy. Some are comfortable enough, and some aren't.

But you cling to that delusion as long as you can, I'm sure it makes you feel good.

Some are smarter than others.  Some are luckier than others.  Some have better contacts than others.

How does this get re-distributed equally?

Dude you made the claim "the hardest working person in the country is probably living at or near poverty."  Now I'm not saying there isn't some hard working people who are not making bank but in general that line is a complete crock of shit and you know it.   I know plenty of wealthy people and they ALL paid their dues with damn hard work.

   No.....dude plenty of billionaire's paid their dues as well.   You don't think the likes of Bezo's, Buffett, Musk, Gates and others haven't worked their asses off and sacrificed time with family in building their empires.   GMAFB.

I lived with a family in Cincinnati summer of 89 after my first year of college while playing ball out there.   The father was an executive at a large Insurance and Barge company and became CEO.  Dude easily worked 70-80 hours a week.  I'm not saying some don't have it pretty easy on their way to the top but many....the majority get there for a reason and that includes time and sacrifice.

People like you only see the results and never what it took to achieve them.

There is some unfairness here and there, and some people should get paid a little more, however, its a pretty good system. I always ask the complainers 'Whats your highest paying skill'? If your a custodian, its not going to be much. The problem is that kids don't want to work anymore, or know what a days work is. They want handout's because we got a generation of spoiled brats.

Not all kids are the same. Yes, there are many out there exactly as you describe but there are also many out there who are not. Lets not paint all with the same brush.

They didn't work a thousand times harder than a millionaire. They also had the benefit of winning the lucky sperm lottery and were born to fairly well off parents that helped them.

You don't get to a billion dollars by working hard, you get there by legal theft

How is it theft? Bill Gates created the PC..there has been no greater advancement in productivity in our history. Why should he not be rewarded for his efforts?

So fixated on a specific comparison..."How much compared to someone else."

You simply can't comprehend the other sacrifices that come with long hours.  I've seen it and done it and it takes a toll on people.  Do you have the same hatred for self made millionaires as you do billionaires?   What's the point of financial success where you draw the line?  Obviously not someone who can afford a really nice express cruiser.

I went through this BS with my son about 4 years ago.  He was following a twitter handle called proudsocialist or something like that, whining about how Amazon and Bezos shouldn't be allowed to get so rich and make money and on and on and on.  I told him, that stupid phone you have in your hand, and the people telling you rich people are bad, aren't going to give you one red cent.  NOTHING.  Get off that damn phone and do what the successful people did if you want it, go make something of yourself, you have the same opportunity they did!

Guess what, 4 years later, he's finished his school, paid off ALL of his student load debt, has a really good job making decent coin, and is on a much better trajectory financially than I was at his age.  He's gotten smarter from working harder, and has ZERO debt.  And guess what, I didn't, and neither did anyone else give him one red cent.  He EARNED what he has by working his ass off, and has gotten smarter while doing it.

Oh, and he's HAPPY and has quit whining about other people's successes.
