Anyone else getting parts, looking at their new sled or prepping their machines yet?

  • Gold Donating Member

I sent a set of shocks to Mike Carver for a revalve/upgrade and am making a list of shit I want/need on the shelf now for spares or otherwise, before winter rolls in and there's another parts shortage.

Anyone actually get their new 2022 sled(s) yet?

Road 115 miles today over by the Clark motel. Was real good and didn’t go into one swamp.

Sold the Yamaha last night. I think tmi had money in my hand 2 hours after listing it. Even when you say you won't reply to is it available messages, people still do it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just sent my ECU out to Whalen. I went with the flash utility so I can flash from my phone.

Waiting on secondary parts from Dalton.

End of season I sent both rear shocks out to Monster and I replaced the stock ice ripper 1.5". Yep at 5800 kms I threw a lug like everyone else. Went with the ice storm 1.5.

I also put some new Duponts on.

Maybe it will top end a little better. But I want that arm stretching pull. Fastest I've gone is 181km on the speedo. 113 mph

I also serviced 4 sleds for buds this year and made a few bucks.

Top end on my buddies 800 Indy that his wife cold seized last year and getting my sled straightened out as much as possible until @fortune46x sells me a kit. Have a 22 Mach here that needs the chain case fixed and shocks rebuilt, a set of walker shocks to do, 4 ski doos in a trailer that gotta get serviced and my shops “closed” because I’m on baby leave. I would also like to have 7 minutes to thrash on the 98 tcat pile of parts that’s sitting in my garage so I can maybe finally ride it this year.

oh and I should probably get my 96 kitty cat back in tip top shape for a photo op under the Christmas tree.

I think I might buy terry’s reflash and 97th clutching fix. That’s definitely the problem!

ZR is concerned you are spreading falce numbers because they aren't on a regular calibration schedule per Cat's ISO9001:2015 quality management standard.

I used my eye ball caliper and came to the conclusion of why does weird shit keep braking off this sled in short period of time? O it’s built out of whack. Turns out my eye caliper is correct as people with the proper tools to measured out multiple catalysts and are finding it is out of parallelism and finding the same broken parts I had.

What parts did you break besides rear skid stuff and your water pump?

Every drive line bearing in his, mine and Alex’s catalysts are smoked, the jackshaft bearings being the worst. All so textron could save 50 cents on a tensioner setup

Dumstad says that isn't possible.

Impossible... the catalyst is perfect in every shape and form... I've never had anything crap out in this manner in this few miles.

Wheels are all flat spotted, water pump, fuel gauge is out, clutch rollers went out and took out both clutches, drive shaft is spinning in the bearing, jack shaft bearings are shot, steering came loose after the first few rides, front end has play in it.

There's an update for the fuel gauge thing

That is a little above Greg's pay grade. Happens when daddy pays for everything.

My dealer did it for me at no cost even though I was out of warranty.

You should use the stump in the front yard

I have that part. Need to put it on the sled along with the rest of it.

Great riding today. At 400 miles for the season. Haven’t seen a single catalyst on the trail yet so cat must have sold a lot of them.

I know this is a hard concept for you to understand so i will explain it to you. If I were to take this pile of scrap to the closest dealer that is 200 miles round trip asking for a sender update and warranty work on a sled out of warranty, they will politely show me where the dumpster is and tell me to put in there.

Well first off, you admitted to riding down a hill while pulling a wheely, unknowing that there is a washout at the bottom. Secondly, why would your dad not insure something his spoiled rotten kid is for sure going to wreck? Are you retarded, like the Governor of Minnesota? Rode the short buss to school as a kid? Pull head out of your ass and think once in a while for yourself.
