Anyone else getting parts, looking at their new sled or prepping their machines yet?

  • Gold Donating Member

I sent a set of shocks to Mike Carver for a revalve/upgrade and am making a list of shit I want/need on the shelf now for spares or otherwise, before winter rolls in and there's another parts shortage.

Anyone actually get their new 2022 sled(s) yet?

Here’s a worthy upgrade for anyone besides Jim on a catalyst. I missed it last year because I’m still riding my poverty edition 2024 but these parts were all on the 25 NON ES 600 rxc as well. Looks like they’re on more civilian models for 2026. Buy 24s and 5s can use them

I've got a leaking exhaust valve seal on the 850, looks like i will be fixing that, but I'm not sure it even matters, just a little black crap leaking out on one side.

Polaris? Hello to a new base plate. The brass bushing wears and lets that leak happen. Been there replaced that.

Do I need the base plate assembly? polaris does sell bushings and seals individually.

Hmmm, I guess if you wanted to press them out/in yourself, why not. I just went the route of a new base plate with new rubber seals.

You’ll need to align the valves, Indy Specialty makes/sells a tool for that.

You get a chance to take those parallelism measurements yet?

No I was swamped with winterizations until the kid came and it’s still up in the loft of my shop. Next week I will

So I've been selling off parts that I'm certain I'll never use and I'm kind of down to speedometer protectors.

$20 each. Well advertised as "2nd gen Procross, 2018-current."

Tonight was the 3rd time someone shows up and leaves because they have a 2012-2017. This kid was pissed because my description wasn't clear.

I had a Dakota County Sheriff chase me down in his truck along a highway years ago… speeding was his reason, and he admitted he had to go over 70mph to catch me. My response: “Well then I couldn’t have been going much if even over 50 for you to catch me” - he let me go with a warning…

The first time I road a snowmobile in Minnesota Dakota county got me. I was going over 90 on my xf700 at the time. He freaked the fuck out jumped out of his hiding spot started waving his arms before I got close. I was like what the hell is this. I got a stern talking to in the middle of a flat wide open field about going too fast lol.

Kids a fucking idiot. I haven’t seen a single intelligent post out of him on that page. A further testament to his intelligence, me and another kid beat him so bad in one of the terrain races last year he was telling everyone he won.

There is new one I am seeing. Pro cross chain tension and how many clicks it needs to be for proper tension. Push it down where it has tension and ride it 5 feet. It will find where it needs to be

You need to beef up your shocks. Because that will won’t wreck shitty parts lol

Yard saled his sled in our one ice race last year. Which doesn’t say anything bad about him I almost did it every corner.

non ES 600 RXC (race sled?)

https://www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts/a/arc/670d499b520497f0acd0249c/chassis-assembly

ES 600 RXC

https://www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts/a/arc/670d49bf520497f0acd02565/chassis-assembly

ES 858 RXC

https://www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts/a/arc/67ab2510f53082bf427bead2/chassis-assembly

they couldn't have added $72 worth the bracing and $4 in hardware (retail price) to the consumer RXC's or other consumer sleds?

that does not look like a simple DIY job for most people, wonder if there's any other little hidden structural pieces on the 'race sled'?

how f'ng dumb thumbdown2

edit... other differences just running down the list

front arm axle, bushings and bolts are also different #'s (#46/47/48) as Palu showed

support tube insert (#3)

chassis assembly (#30) that seems like a rather big one (or does it come with the reinforcements?)

what else... and it appears the non ES is the one to buy dunno

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, KILL THE FACEBOOK AI!

Like most of the shit I buy, I woke up with 0 intentions of buying a sled this morning.

We'll see if tomorrow I head out on a 6+ hour one way trip to buy one...

Waiting on the seller and the "other guys" he has wanting it.

How many arctic cats would your arctic cat chuck, if your arctic cat could chuck arctic cat?

Just checked the weather. If it holds true I should be able to next weekend/early next week.

I just saw he is posting again after you guys mentioned it. Sounds like he is a hoarder

I think he may have bought a couple of old dealers inventory. I've paid him before and he completely forgets and I have to call him weeks later to remind him. One time he didn't include a bunch of stuff that was for my buddy and the guy seemed surprised it was part of the deal and I have to show him screenshots. The worst part is simply having to talk on the phone with the guy, he's just like in the videos and my energy doesn't exactly match well with that
