Anyone else getting parts, looking at their new sled or prepping their machines yet?

  • Gold Donating Member

I sent a set of shocks to Mike Carver for a revalve/upgrade and am making a list of shit I want/need on the shelf now for spares or otherwise, before winter rolls in and there's another parts shortage.

Anyone actually get their new 2022 sled(s) yet?

That thing looks like a 6 year old could break it. Holy hell

That cooler is paper thin. Don’t drop a wrench on it as you might put a hole in it.

Mike Parker, who was mushing at the time of the head-on crash, told troopers he used a headlamp to make himself known while traveling on the far left of the Denali Highway, left of a snow trail in the center of the roadway.

I told myself no more snowmobiles, new or old.

Tried like hell to buy a 1981? SRX440 this morning.

$450.

Saw it maybe 10 minutes after it was posted and messaged the guy I'd take it could be there ASAP.

I'm sure I was about the 440th person in line with the same offer.

Someone stole this thing.

Drive shaft is now out of the sled. The only thing left to remove from the sled is the fuel pump I think. I have to put the new sensor for the gauge on it since that broke too. Other than that there isn’t much left on the sled. Waiting on back ordered parts so I can start re assembly.

4Sale sign coming soon...

I don't think so. But $450 for a SRX that should run with minimal effort...

Another Rox order.

Not sure why we needed so much crap for the miles we've put on the last two years.

Looking at booking a trip to the Black Hills this winter too.

What kind of riding in black hills?

Just trail riding. Maybe bring a couple sleds I haven't ran for a while and have a play day somewhere in there too.

Are they cool trails? Probably a change of scenery for sure

No clue, only been out there in the summer.

The way I'm looking at it, it is pretty much just as far as Houghton is for us and probably less crowded.

I have negative desire to ever go to the UP.

Got the isovibe and the hawks on the new sled tonight. I have it on the loosest setting and it does move around tugging on it. Will be interesting to ride the sled with it. Just need to wash the belt and put a base line suspension settings in it and I will be ready to ride.

On the bold, Deepthroater has you covered. He recommends the rougher the trail, the softer the clickers. @Deephaven #retard

Maybe it is 2 years of bad winters, maybe it is 1 new and 2 brand used sleds, I'm getting antsy for snow.

Well put the catalyst in it’s final resting place. Who knows when I will put it back together. Waiting on back ordered parts now.

If ZR wasn't too busy listening to Korn whilst stuck with an empty end dump in a dry sugar beet field somewhere, he'd be sure you verbally insult you.

Rode out there about 20 years ago right after Christmas. Definitely a different kind of scenery and some pretty awesome trails. Found a few significant rocks with my steel skis back then but we had a blast. Actually planning a late season trip there this year too.

I am sure. Drive shaft is also bad in the sled. Shaft is spinning in the bearing. So I can say the belt drive did not hold up. with the shaft spinning in the bearing and the upper jack shaft bearing going out in two months it’s a high quality snowmobile

His pops paid for them. Loved the belt drive was the fault of the bearing, instead of his constsnt riding in mud. Fucking retard!
