Fresh ribeye from a black angus steer that weighed (for badger here) 1288 pounds hanging weight.  THey cut them fuckers an inch thick.  No way one man can eat a whole one.  Best part is my freezer is STUFFED with pork and beef.  YUMMYIMG_20220518_182504575.thumb.jpg.5b6f8a7d51e04ca587b4fb2e05e44b57.jpgIMG_20220518_184827097.thumb.jpg.ad4d1a8b7fcddcf319189ca5e7fe57e7.jpgIMG_20220518_190126965.thumb.jpg.265291feb51b43720ab163c2b352e808.jpg

Spring is here.  A ribeye from betsy, some wild ditch asparagus and a salad from Costco.

Steak was reverse seared to 118F and then finished at 700F for a couple minutes.  Have my steers raised with dairy cow supplements so the marbling is smack your lips worthy.

Rhubarb is up as well, so our starch tonight comes from pie.  I am not a fan of overly sweetened overly thick nonsense pies.  This guy was perfect.

What do they ding you for a meal like that?  With meat prices as they are now.  I haven't trusted a restaurant to cook me a steak in a long time....

It wasn’t bad I think it was $22.50 plus tax. It was a small cut of steak though 6oz. Wife and I both hate cooking so we go out to eat or take out probably more than we should 😂.
