As Jan. 6 hearings begin, Republicans side with the terrorists The select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol held its first hearing Tuesday, and Republican lawmakers took the occasion to demand justice — for the terrorists who took up arms against the U.S. government on that terrible day. Six Republican members of the House, escorted by a man in a giant Trump costume bearing the message “TRUMP WON,” marched on the Justice Department Tuesday afternoon to speak up for those they called “political prisoners” awaiting trial for their roles in the insurrection. “These are not unruly or dangerous, violent criminals,” Rep. Paul Gosar (Ariz.) proclaimed at a news conference outside DOJ headquarters. “These are political prisoners who are now being persecuted and bearing the pain of unjust suffering.” Rep. They were sure painting a lovely picture I had to hear about a speaker hitting some cops foot for about 20mins and how he’s been in recovery for over 6 months from his injuries to many to list from a speaker. Milking that for all it’s worth I guess. From the hour or so I heard it was pretty pathetic. I can't wait till the fair and balanced commission starts showing all of the video surveilance tapes. You know the ones where the cops are letting them in, the tapes that show the cops giving the "Violent Insurrectionists" guided tours around the capital. Oh wait, I bet they won't show those! Anyone going to ask Oelosi, whose in charge of these police, since they knew many days/weeks ahead if this gathering, why she didn’t staff more and have more specialized cops there ?
