Tommcat
Not sure how many here race, but here's a pic from the finals in yesterdays Northeast Promod series. We powered another one to the winners circle and got back to the points lead with that win, along with quickest run of the day and top MPH. 5

Was running similar numbers on ice in 660' back in the early 1990's...4.9/132mph...Afew clicks under 350hp with the N2O...

We see over and over, what works on ice and grasss doesn't convert to asphalt. Good numbers though, no doubt. What was an average 60 foot vs a stellar 60 foot for you? Frostynuts
I would think consistantly hooking up on pavement would be easier than ice.

No incremental times given back in those days...No ProTree...Go on green...Cross the starting line beam sets the timer, cross the finish line beam shuts the timer off...Some tracks provided the topend speed from trap speeds or radar guns...60' times...lol...Not with nitrious sleds back in those days...You couldnt leave the line with spray, you had to be out atleast 100' before you hit the red button, thats where this sled made it's time...The flyweights and helixes had to be custom made, no aftermarket shops had weights heavy enough for nitrious, and the helix angles from what was available off the shelf were to shallow...Same sled built for speedruns held the national speed record in the NSSR open fuel class back then @ 162 and change in 1320'... Tommcat
Great racing this weekend with a double header. Promod and Prostock 800 ran Saturday and Sunday with Saturdays finals run during the night of fire event with the jet cars and trucks including Aftershock. As much as i hate running after the jets since they fuck the track all up, it is nice to have full stands to see what sleds can do on asphalt. We had the same sleds finish 1, 2, 3 on both days, in the same order. All 3 are sponsored by us with the 2 and 3 sleds running our engines. Great work by all the drivers and crews. This also put all 3 on the national top 10 list now with one of them being the first female driver on the list. She is running double duty on both a Prostock and Promod and is killing people on the tree.

With them also being lighter weight that is also a big plus. Helped a buddy build a sand drag racing Jeep way back in the day. His wife held all of the records driving it. Keep up the good work Tommy Boy!

Tommcat
We finished up the season for the northeast yesterday with some great racing. We had multiple 4 second runs. One stock chassis Tcat put down a 4.97 using a TAPP, a first. Noyzee racing pulled a second place finish with 3 runs in a row at 4.99, and top mph of the day at just under 136. And most importantly for us, our motor powered Noyzee racing to the northeast points championship for the 3rd year in a row. Great racing and great people in this class! 20210919_155124.mp4
