More to do with the Fact the CA liberal sand flee huggers made 1000s of farmers in the state tear out miles and miles and miles of 150yr + old man made creeks dams and holdibg ponds across the state that captured rain water used larger rivers and swamps and deep wells that irrigated the fields you eat from . And now those same creeks and rivers flow right to the ocean. Now that needed h20 to grow your food all gets to come from Hover and the other side of Donner pass . Shocker now those sources are drying up from overuse. Who could have ever seen that coming . 🤔 Don't worry though the pipeline you will be cheering for from the great lakes to CA will prob still happen in your life . Carlos Danger
The local ISO in Cali had a backup plan to slow the output of the Hoover dam to half or less but the greenies killed or stalled most of the new electrical production ideas. Arizona is making a killing selling electricity to Cali. 15 years ago we put in 32 brand new backup gas turbines around and in the Las Vegas area. Normally the cost of the megawatt hour is to high to run them except at peak demand which gives them a pretty long service life. Our shop is starting to see them come in with heavy hours on them. It turns out they have been selling electricity to Cali at peaker rates for nearly ten years now.

Ez ryder
There are 3 dams in st Paul and Minneapolis on the Mississippi think the Ford dam is the smallest and puts out 3.5mw a hr and has done this for over 100yrs . Now imagine how bad it has to be to do buisness in a state that you have a truck factory that pays nothing for electricity . You have never paid for electricity . In fact you get sizeable checks for selling your excess power to the grid . Yet still not worth keeping the plant open . 🙄 Fyi that Ford plant was my great great grandfather's farm he sold it to Henry because he wanted it for the white sand to manufacture glass for the model T
