The truth hurts AOC, you're a cunt.

AOC slammed for tweet blaming Trump for grandmother's hurricane-damaged roof in Puerto Rico (msn.com)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was slammed on Twitter after posting a picture of her grandmother’s Hurricane Maria-damaged home in Puerto Rico and appearing to blame former President Donald Trump for the disrepair.

“Just over a week ago, my abuela fell ill,” the New York Democrat tweeted Wednesday. “I went to Puerto Rico to see her — my 1st time in a year+ bc of COVID. This is her home. Hurricane María relief hasn’t arrived. Trump blocked relief $ for PR. People are being forced to flee ancestral homes, & developers are taking them.”

In the photo, her grandmother’s roof clearly needs repair work and appears to be partially caving in. Many Twitter users responded by criticizing Ocasio-Cortez for not paying to fix the roof herself, citing her $174,000-a-year salary and recent purchase of a Tesla.

“Honey, you drive a Tesla and have two apartments,” Republican congressional candidate Lavern Spicer tweeted. “If your grandmother is living poor that’s because you don’t help her out. I’m surprised that a socialist wouldn’t redistribute that wealth to their grandma. Sad!”

"You need to help her!" Newsbusters' Curtis Houck wrote.

“You live in luxury now that you make a ton of money and you don’t help your grandma?” freelance writer Kambree Koa tweeted. “That’s cruel.”

"You're a wealthy and famous politician. You can't spare a couple bucks to spruce up your 'abuela's' home?" conservative commentator Michael Knowles tweeted.

In a later tweet, Ocasio-Cortez told her followers that her grandmother is doing fine.

“And for the record — my abuela is doing okay. It’s not about us, but about what’s happening to Puerto Rican’s across the island,” she explained. “She had a place to go to and be cared for — what about the thousands of people who don’t?”

Hurricane Maria hit the island nation of Puerto Rico during Trump's presidency in 2018, killing a reported 3,000 people and causing tens of billions of dollars in damages.

It's amazing, and sad at the same time, that there are people in this world who adore this woman and think she is their savior.

Why should she spend HER money to help grandma? The gov’t should fix everyone’s roof.

Liberals are the cheapest people on earth when it comes to charity.  Their mantra is the same as with taxes...."I won't help unless everyone has too."

Helping out Grams with her roof that's caving in isn't even charity in my mind. It's just something family does and she can't even do that

Or, like Slinger said. “My charity contributions are what comes out of my check for taxes.”

What's happened is that WE have gone from from one fuck-face ( Trump ), to a diametrically-opposed fuck-face ( Biden ).

It could not have been worse.

Being a “rebellious socialist” that knows who butters his bread and how to follow orders has its benefits!

AOC FUCKING OWNED   !!!!!!111     :owned:   and she's a fucking cunt about it!

A right-wing writer who crowdfunded $100,000 to repair the Puerto Rico home of AOC's grandmother says she declined to accept the money (msn.com)

A right-wing writer crowdfunded over $100,000 after launching a campaign for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's grandmother.

Matt Walsh, a writer with conservative outlet the Daily Wire, began the GoFundMe on Friday after criticizing Ocasio-Cortez for "allowing" her grandma to live in dire conditions.

Ocasio-Cortez earlier this week tweeted out that her grandma is ill and hasn't yet received hurricane relief in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which hit the US territory more than three years ago. In her tweet slamming former President Donald Trump over delayed relief in Puerto Rico, the New York lawmaker shared photos showing bare living quarters with ceiling tiles peeling off and buckets set up around a room to catch dripping water.

"This is her home. Hurricane María relief hasn't arrived. Trump blocked relief $ for PR," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Walsh accused Ocasio-Cortez of "virtue-signaling" and living large while her family needs help.

"Shameful that you live in luxury while allowing your own grandmother to suffer in these squalid conditions," Walsh tweeted in response to Ocasio-Cortez.

Within hours of going live, Walsh's campaign reached its goal of $48,990. Ocasio-Cortez's grandmother has declined to accept the money, according to Walsh, who spoke with Insider. The campaign raised over $104,000 before GoFundMe shut it down, he said, and the money will be returned in full to each donor.

In a tweet in reply to Ocasio-Cortez, Walsh asked the New York rep to DM him details so he could send her grandma the raised funds.

Walsh told Insider AOC "ignored us" when he reached out over Twitter asking for the information to transfer funds over.

Walsh on Twitter wrote that GoFundMe in an email said the family has "made clear they will not be accepting the funds raised."

After Walsh started the GoFundMe, #HelpAbuela began trending on Twitter.

Ocasio-Cortez posted photos of her grandmother's home to illustrate the dire conditions in Puerto Rico post- Hurricane Maria. She faulted Trump for delaying and denying aid to the island after the catastrophic hurricane.

"What's happening to Puerto Ricans is systemic," she said in her tweet.
