DriftBusta
Teachers and all public sector unions need to be reformed if not abolished entirely. There is a reason education costs have risen faster than any other sector of the economy and there is a reason US students have fallen way behind in measures such as math and science. 1
Zambroski
Stop their pay. That’ll change their minds. Weird how that works.....but oh, look at all the integrity and moral high ground our educators possess! Virtue personified. 1

My father put it real simply, if you think your job/career doesn’t pay well enough, just look behind you and see who’s be happy to fill your spot. Now, it’s clear if there are too many....UNIONIZE!!! Admin is the problem. Every child is diagnosed with something by multiples of learning specialists. Schools have principles, Vice principles, assistants etc. Councillors for this and that. Blaming a “teacher” who actually teaches in the classroom is wrong.

Not blaming them just saying 7 mo for 80+ k full pension and full Benny's no co pay is no small reason. Then the almost zero accountability. There is a reason privet schools are exploding in popularity going up almost as fast as assisted living homes now days And you can blame them they vote for all of it it is there union Edited May 2, 2021 by Ez ryder

Platinum Contributing Member Skidooski Posted May 3, 2021 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted May 3, 2021 Just what do these teachers have to be scared of more than anyone else? What a shitty example these people show to the kids. And on top of that... a shitty job of teaching.

In some places they are overpaid in others underpaid. They work more than 8 months. It's certainly not a full time job and they do get good pay when you account for the 75-80% schedule they have. Teachers here are contracted for 188 days a year. Normal job would be 240+- 20 hours ago, Mainecat said: Administration Administration Administration they are for sure one of the biggest issue as they refuse to tussle with the union to weed out the bad ones. And there are 3x as many as there were 30 years ago in my town HS even though they will graduate the same number of kids this year as when i graduated there in 1989
