I think cat needs to sue doo over the lynx name.

If doo can claim that they invented the pyramid as a structural shape, with a straight face, then cat can claim they invented cat names.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the 'Lynx' name being used to sell sleds in North America was part of the 'we invented the Pyramid first' lawsuit from BRP with Cat

besides, Cat doesn't use Cat names any longer - you can have a Riot or Blast, but not a Cheetah, El Tigre, Puma, Panther, Cougar or...  because they suck :)

Doo patented the lynx name not too long ago..

There's a thread somewhere about it.

In the early 90's glory years, cat dropped the lynx name to settle a naming dispute with the scandinavian lynx company.

I did not know that.

Strange that they would though considering they had a Lynx 'model' in the 1970's and continued using it until 2018

Then again, this world has had far too many barristers for too many years.

Yes, I did notice how they brought it back on the twin spar again.  Not sure about that.  But that was the answer given in the early 90's why they cancelled that name.

I always wondered why they never used bobcat but that was probably another naming issue with the skid steer brand bobcat
