850 engine temps Matryx vs Axys

Running around on same trails the last 3 days, 850 XCR Switchback vs buddies 850 Matryx Launch 137 (not sure it would matter which model), the XCR was consistently running at least 10, and most of the time 15-20 degrees cooler.  No scratchers on either sled, same trail, leading or following.  What is the difference in the cooling systems besides the rear cooler in the beaver tail of the XCR?  Snow flap length?

I'd guess it has something to do with the mapping also.  Different mils, right?  Out of curiosity, what were the temps on each sled?

Both sleds have the 137 1.325 Cobra tracks.  XCR would run around 100, 95-108 where the Matryx was around 120, sometimes as high as 130 to 135.  Fresh groomed hard pack both sleds would creep another 10-15 degrees.

The XCR with the beaver tail catches more snow and the heat exchanger is right above the rear axle of the suspension where the snow gets thrown.  The conversation tunnel has to have more ground clearance on the snowflap as it moves with the chassis and more snow escapes under the snow flap.  The XCR snowflap stays at a set distance from the ground cause it moves with the suspension so it does not require as much clearance.
