well thats what you get for marrying an earner.  I have to carry the burden myself.

TBH i'd much rather be in your spot with a wife who could support me if i decided to take a year or 2 off.

I sell money.   Been in lending for over 30 years now.  you would think with kids at 19 and 21 a full time job would be something one would want.

Nice, good job. No one wants to work more life to short for that.

Nice final ride of the year. My brother put a stud thru his heat exchanger and I finished the season towing a skidoo. Typical. Almost 100 miles in Pittsburg before the ski don’t tapped out. Conditions were excellent, traffic was low.

Rolled into camp late last night.  Conditions look fairly poor although we are going to head towards some honeyholes that should still have plenty of snow for one last ride.  Gathering up our gear and headed home tomorrow.

how many miles on the 08.   13 year old sled of any maker is a timebomb but this is another example of why unstudded is better.

Less than 4K. Sad thing is he just dumped 2g into it, after something major broke and took took out the chain case and various other tidbits. Poor guy has the worst luck with sleds. Just awful. But he runs old iron. This 08 was the newest sled he’s owned and the first “ rider forward “ chassis.he loves this sled.   The heat exchanger is fucked up.

it's not a bad fix,  tore mine right out of the sled on my 09 and just had the dealer take care of it but it would be a relatively easy off season repair.

When a chain goes it can definitely cause some damage.  Ask CKF about that after he waited 8 hours at a restaurant for us to ride back and send the truck down to get him when his broke

That was a good short cut you guys took getting back to the hotel. Imagine how long we would have been there if you took the original trail back:news:

i have only had 2 years with 6 month season.   One started in quebec for thanksgiving and ended up in NH in April.   One started in NH in December and ended up in NH in May.

I still have my sled ready to ride if we get a mid april dump.  Since they won't plow the roads a 12 inch dump would make for some good northern NH western Maine road riding.

:bc: Hope you get another ride in this year!

I've never ridden out your way but any time you can get in six months or close to it is a good season. I think, had we made the trip to the Upper peninsula more often back then, we could have extended our seasons a lot more. But there was decent snow in the lower and we were renting a cabin around Gaylord so we stuck around the lower.

I went through a bunch of years where my sons basketball limited the end of the season to early to mid march but before that I was always up for an early or late season ride even if it was a 3 1/2 hour drive each way for a day trip.

Northeast kind of sucked this year.  Started late and ended early.  Throw in Covid and not being able to get into Canada, and it was kind of disappointing but we did get some good rides and got to play a little in the offtrail.

Two years in a row now the groomer by me never left the barn until mid to late January. At least this year when it did hit it stayed good for 5-6 weeks. Last year it went from really good to really bad so many times because of the warmups.
