Has anyone here ever done it? If so what did you think?

Unless things change drastically, the chances of American's visiting Quebec this winter are likely slim to none. I bet even for CDN's, it might be tough? I am pretty sure quite a few from here have and continued to do so and IIRC, they all highly recommend it. Here's some info from another site. https://ontarioconditions.com/forums/index.php?/search/&q=quebec&quick=1

Our idiot in charge, like I've mentioned numerous times, is out to destroy this country. He does not give one shit about Canada nor CDN's and is trying, albeit, sneakily, to implement socialism. This is just one of many where he is spending money we clearly don't have. https://globalnews.ca/news/7366028/canada-pledges-millions-humanitarian-aid-coronavirus/

I've only done it once but yeah it's pretty awesome there. We launched out of duhamel and rode east towards quebec city and back. Conditions sucked on the way out and then turned around a couple days in. They whipped those trails into shape lickety split.

How many miles are the 4 to 5-day loops?

1000+- would be good.  250-300 per day is pretty easy.   the trials are well marked and wide.  Not boring just groomed wide for the most part although 150 miles on a railbed does get boring which there are a few of.

Pick north or south of the St lawrence.   Coming from MI i would stay north of the seaway and do a Lac St Jean loop.

I want to go back but who knows when. I would like to do a huge loop up towards Chapais and Chibougamauand then back. You can cover alot of ground pretty quick if you have the right group. And then one day I want to make it out to the Gaspe. That would probably have to be a 10 day to 2 week trip tho. I dont want to rush and its a long ass drive.

One of the reasons I am considering jumping back in is the guy who i am friends with that bough a sled last night has a gaspe trip in the works.  I'll prob wait till Feb to buy something then do that trip in march.

It's excellent, but you have to wear a helmet

LOL....ya, and mirrors, no aftermarket exhaust and just might get some flack from the QPP if you have custom numbers, apparently.....

QC is getting hit hard again with Covid, but that is more in the higher density area's, not so much in the prime sledding spots....hopefully cross border activities are allowed come Jan & Feb.

Great trails, but like anywhere else, you can get some bad stuff too. The atmosphere is by far the best, people just live for sledding and really cater to people that share the same passion.

Kind of bumming about the lockdown continuing.  Was looking forward to a couple saddlebaggers into the motherland this winter.  Stay in Maine I guess.  Which means alot more traffic if no one can cross.
