The kid had a big oops yesterday. Forgot he parked at a curb and drove through it leaving. Bent lower Rad support, broken Rad mount, scratched and bent bumper cover, and a bruised ego.

Team Bombardier 1978 consisted of Bobby Donahue and Doug Hayes.  In these pics they both sit aboard their restored 440SM yellow rockets about 40 years later!👊💯

Both of Doug's sons now work at Polaris. For a while one worked at Arctic cat.

If you get a chance to listen to him about what he was all involved with snowmobiling it is worth the time.  Doug and his brother Stan basically developed the Mercury Sno-Twister race team.  Sadly Stan passed away 2-3 years ago.

A.J. Foyt sweeps into turn one, with Gordon Johncock and Tom Sneva in hot pursuit. It looked like 1977 might be Gordon's 500 for a while until he blew an engine with 20 laps to go. AJ went on to take his fourth 500. Tom, who started on the pole finished 2nd. Check out that crowd!
