Thanks Dale.Damn price of wood is cutting into my beer money lol. We have to pick up our pontoon in Sudbury after Labour Day,stay home for two weeks then back down till Thanksgiving.

I have to re-do my shed floor and the ramp to get into it but I think I will be waiting until next year now?

The price of wood, the small amount of time spent at our trailer this summer, etc, just doesn't make it worth while at this point.

We have gone all summer without any hot water as well, and considering our rainy, cooler than normal weather up there, none of us have been too excited to go.

The hot water tank thermostat/ignitor/module, or whatever it is technically called, thanks to the covid backlog are not readily available and no one knows when they will be? Having cold showers daily, especially when it is chilly out, sucks balls to be honest, and at this point, I could close up anytime and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

We took the coach in for service before we left. They put in a new element( elec), fixed a kinked line to the hot water tank, new water pump, replaced two vent covers,a new maxxair, oil/filter and a genny service, two stabilizer bushings all for $1100. We're waiting for hydro to run the lines and do our hookup and then we wont rely on the genny and propane.

That's a pretty good deal for all that. :bc:

Our trailer is getting old and that is starting to show/rear its ugly head in places but in order for us to update/upgrade, we are forced to purchase one of the owners park models, and since she has the authority to tell us which one, we know we are into at least $200g's, likely quite a bit more, to replace ours.

Because we had such a late start getting into the park this spring/early summer due to the covid rules, it seemed like a waste of time from the get go as it was so late getting everything all set up ready for the summer. I thought to myself more than once, within a couple months it will be time to close everything up again.

Hoping next year is a lot different but if it isn't, I would assume at this point, next year will be our final year for sure?

It's a tough pill to swallow when a park tells you what you can do. We lucked out on the property down here. You can put a trailer, build a bunkie or whatever on it and a shed can be 300sq ft. It's $232/year for property tax and I think $100-200/ year for road maintenance which will probably be on our next tax bill

Good deal! :bc:

Our situation could be worse as some parks make you upgrade within 10-15 years no matter how good the condition your trailer is in, so considering the age of ours, it could be worse.

Years ago, when people were buying these park models up, a lot of us, me included, thought she was nuts as were the people who were purchasing them, but in hindsight now, we were dead wrong as any that come up for sale are bought up within days and at a serious mark up from what people originally paid.

Quit work early yesterday and told the wife I was taking her out for dinner, dress casual.

Spanky’s BBQ food truck throws a Cruise Night every Thursday at the local horse racing track.

Poutine and a Coke and then a walk around.

It was packed. I estimated 125-150 cars. Some pics.

My 2 favs.

This suburban. Shortened body and frame with a 6.6 Turbo Diesel. Beautiful inside and out.

Ya, I love it too. I spent a while talking with the owner to get some ideas for my shortbox. He's got a 4 link planned for the rear this winter. He says it rides like shit with the leaf springs. Interior is completely restored to original.

I'd like to do the Crown Vic clip on mine but its out side my budget for now.

After we got in from boating tonight. We hear the 2 young owls just off the deck . Wifey walks out on deck,  takes pictures of them in near tree and they fly right to the deck. Lol. Scared crap out of her. They let her take more pics even  with her maybe 10ft away. Lol. Wildlife going crazy around here this year.
