Ya I think the motor was developed by cosworth racing with svt. car was a 04 I bought it used in early 06 I think maybe late 05 I don’t remember. It was fairly quick for a 4banger but I did full suspension on it and thing was like a slot car that was the funniest part of that car. There pretty cheap now buy one of them. Finally got my front Bilsteins in off back order so I threw fresh calipers and hoses on it too, while I was at it, last night. Pads/rotors were new when I replaced the hard brake lines because they were rotted when I bought it May 2020. That working on the floor bullshit is for the birds. FrankieJames7 Posted August 21, 2021 Share Posted August 21, 2021 got the 2 liter running yesterday. ford full synthetic manual transmission fluid was 90 dollars for 3 quarts. i just need it as a daily for now so they are lucky no else had that part in town. this engine is worn out or neglected. has tremendous blowby and crankcase pressure. alternator is on it's way out and sounds terrible. power steering seems ok. im hoping a good full throttle drive will clear up a sticking piston ring, i hope that's what it is anyways. needs an alignment, i did not be careful enough to align the indexing washers on the subframe. i can get plates for it hopefully on Monday i broke my phone the other day and wasn't able to take more pictures of putting it back together Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

FrankieJames7 Posted August 22, 2021 Share Posted August 22, 2021 got the car running with the 2.3 ecu, drove it to the other shop that had the solus edge and tried to get the transponder key i already had to work on the 2.0 ecu. it didn't work, and erased the key from both ecu's, so my friend gave me a ride to the ford dealer to get my key copied onto another transponder key. the procedure for some bullshit reason requires at least 2 transponder keys so that is why it did not work the first time and i had to buy another key from ford 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
