TSX highest level in History (again) took 11 months to get back to this level after shutdown of economy's by mostly conservative governments across Canada

Ontario companies are bouncing back, good news

17,821.49 +138.98 (0.79%)

Jan. 6, 10:32 a.m.

2015 stocks was 11200 under Harper as his "stay the course" was losing ground daily in the markets
add in 7.9% unemployment
We are in so much better shape today even with a lockdown

OUR unemployment is down to 6.4% again way better than under Harper at any point in his 10 year term - yet we still claim greatness which seems strange.
Today we claim failure yet all measures point to the opposite of failure

2021 should be a banner year

Trump has literary   started war in the USA, did you see what he caused today?  The party of law and order storms the white house - you compare this to Trudeau taking a pair of sunglasses and a trip on a helicopter?

Ya I'll pass

none, that is the way capitalism works you want some of that work for it.

Do I fit in now

Its a measure of economy and has been used for a very long time that and unemployment numbers.  Both are very good considering today's world..

6.4% across Canada during a shutdown seems pretty good :dunno:  leaving the ONEWAY hate out of it

Actually some of it is really booming depending on the job but without a doubt food service has been hit the hardest while most work at home business meeting type have had no losses.

People spending lots of money at home instead of giving it to Dominican'

Don't pretend to care about the teenager that lost his/her min wage job

Federal numbers are a combination of Provincial numbers, Ontario plays the biggest roll in these numbers...

Just a little to the right. Remember that noggin isn't too full so we can't take the chance that it'd go straight on through without doing any harm.

I missed Donny and Twitter already, he is the only one I read daily.  His rants, blatant lies and relentless patting himself on the back is going to be missed

After getting back his account yesterday he couldn't resist citing violence against the United States again and again. How unfair everyone in the world is to him.

As predicted Trump has lived up to the douche bag he has always been..  the future is uncertain as to what he is going to do, going away isn't really a thought.

Time will tell

Are these flag waving morons going to be lost without be told what to do daily by their God?

Misinformation is so easy with social media.

This is not a tax increase it is CPP contributions - nothing to do with pandemic this is something that is going to happen every year for the next decade.  Its been decided years ago.

But this doesn't stop the misinformation coming out from Pierre and the sheep just eat it up....

he said its time for a tax break    but he is referring to CPP as the increase    you can't make this up

OAS isn't enough and the Federal Government  no matter who's party is in should have dealt with it years ago. It's a shame they can squander money where it doesn't belong.

Well lets consider Harper took 15k from OAS seniors when he moved the age to 67.  Trudeau moved it back essentially giving a newly retired person 15k back

OAS isn't CPP

There is only one party that has ever tried to take OAS away and that is the CPC.  Stephen Harper said it was the only way Canada could continue this practice...

Pretty sure you voted for this :dunno:

$615 dollars if you make less than 129k - so a person that makes 30k retired gets the same amount as a person making 10.5k a month

OAS is a measly amount for seniors and combined with whatever CPP contributions were made throughout a person's working life combined don't add up to $30K.

average person is getting 55% of max CPP around $670 max is about $1200 a month ( that is 39 years of top contributions)

but you are correct under 30k - this is also why we have increased CPP levels
