Gold Member BOHICA Posted October 2, 2016 Gold Member Posted October 2, 2016 They cant get enough f series up. http://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/autos/ford-f-series-pickups-selling-in-new-record-numbers-in-canada-1.2897512 Quote
ArcticCrusher Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Well the topic certainly could not have been about our pm. I have one and would have zero issue with another. Quote
revkevsdi Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I have an eco boost pos. I don't think I'd buy another. 60,000 miles it's been in the shop twice for turbo issues. Made some shitty death rattle when it started. It let me down last weekend when a transmission hose cracked. Doesn't get close to the mileage I paid extra for the eco boost to get. Brother has one too. Neither one of us are interested in another Ford truck. And he went from a shitbox Dodge Truck to this. So that's saying something. Quote
Ebsell Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I have a 2016 2.7 ecoboost and love it. Way more power than my 5.4 had and the fuel mileage is awesome. Quote
ArcticCrusher Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Mine is a 2010 5.4L, at that time the guys with the Ecoboost regretted buying them as they had issues. I get pretty good gas mileage out of it, better than the wrangler and better than the wife's Santa ghey, now that is one pos. Quote
ArcticCrusher Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I am quite sure Ford has fixed the early issues with the boost. Quote
Ebsell Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 The thing with the Ecoboost is if you drive it right gas mileage is great. But if you get heavy with the foot or are hauling a load, although impressive in its power they become thirsty Quote

Dave Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I love my new to me chevy siverado 3500 hd....not quite as much towing power as my Dodge 3500....but way better then my f350 dually i was glad to get rid of... nothing worse then hard on fuel and lacking in power. Quote

What do you need a 3500 for? What are you towing? Quote

Hey, just out of curiosity, what kind of MPG are you getting with that without towing anything? If you know. Quote

My tundra is a pump sucker. God damn thing sits right at 13 mpg. Now, it's got some hp and torque above the normal 1500 but damn! That's crazy as shit to me. Quote

I drove with a customer in a Titan a few years back and they are horrible on gas as well. Edited October 3, 2016 by ArcticCrusher Quote

All my older Silverado's (leveled, bigger meat, and some mods) would all hold me around 16/17 mpg. I'm really surprised at this Tundra, but..was told that before I bought it. Just wanted something different. But like I said, 13.0 MPG is where the dash reads. WOW. 6 minutes ago, ArcticCrusher said: I get about 17-18 mpg or 21 if I drive strictly on the highway like a fag that takes it easy on the gas. I get a bit more gas sucking with more HP and torque but it is still kind of surprising. Edited October 3, 2016 by Zambroski Quote

Platinum Contributing Member Rigid1 Posted October 3, 2016 Platinum Contributing Member Posted October 3, 2016 I have a 14 GMC Sierra with the 5.3..Granted this thing lacks some power compared to what I used to have, but it it kills it in the gas milage department and ride quality.. Quote
